We had a bit of an emergency in the middle of the night with my lab. He ripped a noe nail all the way off. Our vet was closed this Saturday, so we went to med vet. I have to say we had a wonderful experience. They as in everyone who we came across that worked there, was kind ,caring ,and treated our dog and us with respect. I was scared to find out what the bill was. Which was very affordable.

I called with a very detailed report of my husband's cat, whose right front paw was serverly injured and told them this was a no option amputation! They said bring him in! So I did just to be charged 329 and told you can't do anything for the cat, but pain meds and antibiotics!!! I had to request they atleast wrap it as he was trying to chew the paw off!! It was the worst vet experience I have ever had! That 329 could have went toward his amputation vs just a bandaid and told to get him to my normal vet next day.

The whole staff was friendly and compassionate. Even the front desk reception. They took my cat Newman in immediately to check vitals and they were ok so they brought him back out to me. Dr Theresa VonAlmen was very thorough and explained everything completely. She listened to my concerns. I would highly recommend MedVet in Toledo. My cat is eating again and getting back to normal. Thank you to all the staff at MedVet!

Thank heavens they are here all night . The people are awesome. One thing not cool is the fact they take your dog into another room and if you want to stay with your pet get ready to argue, and you will lose .

Great place if you feel the need to put your cat to sleep at 330 in the morning, but if you have an actual emergency they will try to delay you till your animal loses a body part or dies so they don’t have to deal with it

Our dog died about 4 hours after leaving the office. We were given the option to admit her for $5000.00 or take her home with supportive car for $700. We spent the $700+ dollars for for a slew of drugs, some experimental, with the thought that we'd give her till Monday and see if there was any improvement. I made that decision because, by looking at her I was sure that she wasn't going to make it, but what do I know I'm not the doctor. She was 15 years old, and very healthy until she wasn't about 2 days prior to the visit. They did the bloodwork, found her to be in Kidney failure with Pancreantitus. She couldn't stand, eat, drink, barely open her eyes. It seemed more important that I sign up for Care Credit and get her admitted than it was to get my dog comfortable, with a realistic prognosis. They sold me hope... I'm glad I brought her home to die with the ones her loved her, instead of strangers. It's no fault of MedVet that my dog passed away, but I am discouraged at the opportunity to leverage emotion for a dollar. Even $750 bucks didn't buy her another 6 hours of life.

We entered with my dog having rectal bleeding. They immediately told me that they might have to put in a trachial tube and if we wanted them to do CPR in case. The vet with blue hair took an xray for blockage in the intestine, and kept repeating to just "use your imagination" when we expressed concerns. Never tested her for anything. Turned out to be parvo by another vet

I liked the staff & their protocol seemed fine with one exception - they took my pet by itself to do their initial exam. I do not agree with that & believe it causes undue stress to the animal. If they feel it is for their protection, I do not object to a muzzle, but as any parent I would never allow my child to be alone with a doctor upon initial meeting. Other than that I had no problem and thought they did a good job.
