Do you want a cat who will snuggle? Go here. Absolutely the friendliest bunches of cats. You get a genuine feel for who is social, that they get along with other animals, who is a couch potato, etc. There are downsides to being completely free roaming, especially when MVSaP takes on some of the saddest abandoned colonies and cases, but I think it’s worth it when they clearly don’t feel as cornered and are more open to meeting people. Also financial donations will go a long way in making their remodeling goals a reality.

We can’t say enough good about Maumee Save A Pet … over the past several years we rescued a small terrier dog they called James & we changed name to Jessie this dog came from a hoarder home & basically would probably never been adopted but we took a chance & gave him a wonderful home & to see the transformation of this wild dog was unbelievable ❤️. He was with us several yrs & then went to heaven where he us running free …❤️?❤️Then a little over a year ago from save a pet we adopted another terrier mix very short hair also came from a hoarder home his name is Paco … we just love him & he gets along with the other 3 small dogs we also rescued …,our life would not be the same with them. ❤️????❤️Paula ❣️

If you're looking to get a cat or dog, PLEASE go here first. They have so many that need loving homes. They take contributions as well. I dropped off sofa cushions for the animals.

I wish I could give this place a zero. I love the free roaming cat idea, but there are sick cats mixed in with healthy cats. There was urine everywhere and not an employee to be found. The stench was unbearable and we had to leave. It really is too bad because all of the cats there deserve better than that.

People who are giving this place 1-star reviews are really disappointing as people. Anyone with sense can understand that, as a no-kill shelter with limited resources, they can only do so much. The animals here are better off than being at an animal control facility or outside all year, and the whole point of adoption is so the animal has a better life than if they were permanent residents here. If you think they don't take good enough care of the animals or the facility, then you should consider donating or volunteering. Your bad review is only hurting the animals, as others will read it and not adopt.Anyway, we adopted 2 cats from here and they're lovely.

Well, I really hate to do this, and especially for a facility that cares for animals but me and my family has been trying to contact this organization for over two weeks now I’ve sent several emails several voicemails. I called daily no answer no response to anything. The only thing we would like to know is if they received our application and if the puppy is still available or if we are even eligible to adopt! I understand people volunteer but I’m not asking for a party, All I’m saying is they could Text back for 30 seconds.

Ellie is the cat whisperer and truly a blessing to all animals! As well as, everyone there is amazing. They helped us heal from a tragic loss. They go above and beyond and I cannot recommend highly enough. Kind ppl working hard and doing their best! Please adopt!

Went there to donate cat food. I was very impressed, the cats aren't caged they have free roam. Very clean no oders, the cats were quite relaxed. Very friendly staff

I adopted a beautiful calico from MVSA and it was a wonderful experience. I visited her and held her before we made the decision she was the one. The people there are dedicated, warm and loving people. I tell everyone looking for a cat or kitten start here.
