On 8/26 I went into great clips Suder ave to get my hair cut . Mind you o moved to Toledo 2019 and has always been using great clips. There have been like 3-4 ppl that have cut my hair just the way I like it , but unfortunately some have gone . So I really have gotten use to Christina and Melinda . And it seems like they are the only two that are still there. Well when I decided to just stop in and not check in there were few ppl there and it would have been a wait. I noticed Melinda was there but didn’t see Christina. So I asked the young lady who I went one time 30 min before closing and she basically was refusing my services saying they were getting ready to close , she at that time had blonde hair (but noticed she colored black) I believe her name is Lindsey . So I was saying it would t take long she then looked at
Melinda and asked her if she would do it. Who was in middle of cutting someone. So I definitely was feeling like she did not want to cut my hair due to my race but I chalked it up. So when I went on that Friday and asked was Christina in , she stated she was on vacation until Wednesday. I left without saying anything like I said because it was crowded and first I didn’t do check in,
But I also had to be back to work in 1 hour. I retune 2 days later Friday and they asked if I had checked in I said no (it was Melinda ) but this day I was off and had time. As I’m
Sitting and waiting that same lady said to me . I thought you were gonna wait for Christina Wed. I felt how rude was that. Because it was the way she said it. And Melinda heard her but just looked. So I sat there for awhile and my husband

Someone who is obviously in professional and doesn’t realize she is getting paid due to customers.
So I left called
The 800 number complained and they ask if you want a follow up call I stated yes. I did go back Wednesday but on 8/2’ots been a week and still haven’t heard anything back from not one person. Me being a store manager and comes from a professional background is very upset . I’ve only dealt with great clips but it’s obvious to them they can care less about customer satisfactory and or complaints. Lindsey must not realize why she is getting paid. This was a very friendly place

Very disappointed that a week has gone by and nothing not one follow up call. And customers at my store always ask where do I get my hair cut and I told them great clips in Suder. I will not recommend it any more

I am a mom to 7 children and I am now raising my granddaughters 7, and 4. I used Great Clips for over 30 years while living in Florida. I used them so much that while 2 of my daughters were in high school, they were hired as receptionists.
I now live in Toledo and I have used Great Clips here for the LAST TIME! After starting my 7 year olds haircut, I was standing behind the stylist in the middle of the store. (There was nobody else there) I was just watching, I hadn't said a word, then I was told that parents aren't allowed to be back there and I needed to take a seat in the lobby.
She's 7! I will watch as her hair is cut, I'm the one paying for it. If you don't want me to watch, then you don't want my business!

This place is trash the way they talk on the phone the looks on there face when you walk in. Then they left my son's hair at the top so long he looks like he has a erkle cut. I understand that we get what we pay for and I gotta fix my son's hair. But the attitudes you woman carry is disgusting. I get if y'all might be tired cutting hair and different styles is rough. But to not even have a little smile on your face carry a better attitude. Y'all looked so ugly sound so ugly. There ain't no way them woman in this salon ain't miserable. There is plenty of great clips we gotta make better time and not be so desperate for service that have woman with nasty attitudes. I'm not happy and I'll apologize for these miserable woman. So sorry to everyone this happened too. And white lady and black lady working on 2/21/24 @ 5pm get some class. Not everyones life is perfect we all have a hard life or so things we don't like to do. But that right there was very ugly and if I wanted to take it to heart I would but I'm laughing at the droopy faces and misery you carried. Do not recommend getting cheap haut from nobody with no class

I went to the Suder Ave location this past Sunday with my children and to say the experience was awful is an understatement. I asked for my hair which originally went about 5 inches BELOW my shoulders to have layers and not be shorter than just past my shoulders. Melinda cut my hair and my hair now is only to maybe my clavicle if I pull it. My son asked for 1 inch off the top of his hair so it'd only be roughly half inch off she took 1 and a half off.My daughter asked for curtain bangs and had choppy hair all the way around. With my hair being as short as it is,is mortifying and has made for a horrendous experience. Melinda didn't seem to care to listen to what her clients wanted and just did what she wanted instead.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They changed their hours to 10-7. Which is fine except we were standing outside at 10 with my 4 year old and they stared at us for 7 minutes behind the lock door. Instead of explaining they needed a second they just walked to the back of the store at waited for us to leave. Disgusting.

Well. I'm a giant weirdo sometimes, and they all tolerate me. Went there once I haven't been elsewhere. That's 3 visits... but hey, it's three visits that have me posting about the bomb cuts here and not Fb, so my regular hairstylist doesn't know I'm cheating... hahaha

The first time I went to great clips was okay. The staff was friendly and they were fast with the online check in. I got an okay hair cut yet still had to go home and trim it a bit after. I decided to give it another try with another stylist at the same location, this time I left crying with an uneven, way to short, haircut. The stylist herself was nice at first but turned sporadic and shaky, and I’m 99% sure I heard an “oops” while she was cutting. I wish I would have left halfway through the cut. I will NEVER be going back.Service: Haircut
