I left about fifteen minutes ago. I was just going to let this go, but it was so beyond rude I needed to say something. When I went to make my purchase I told the cashier I would just use self checkout. I do that because I prefer to not deal with anyone. She gave me a skeptical look and followed me to the self check out. She leaned into the area and proceeded to tell me how to scan things and to separate them in bags based on if they were hot and cold. I tried to ignore her making it clear I wasn't interested in her tips. She didn't seem to care, she proceeded to try telling my eight year old how to bag the items. It was a really odd interaction. I don't know if she thought I was going to steal something. But if she thought that she could have at least watched to make sure I didn't take anything from a distance. It didn't feel like she was trying to be helpful for me. It almost felt like she was offended that I didn't let her check me out. Whatever the reason, it was not ok.

I'm so happy Thompson finally has a store so we don't have to drive into Chardon or down to Madison for a necessity or something we may have forgotten to grab at the grocery store. Bonus that they have cigs too so no driving to Marathon to get ripped off either!!

If your fat you will never fit down the narrow aisles...I got stuck in the pop and chip aisle but the friendly staff winched me out.

I stopped by this store while camping at the nearby KOA. I have to say, this is the nicest Dollar General I have ever been to. The store was clean, organized, everything stocked well and faced. And the staff was absolutely amazing. Friendly people who seem to enjoy their job. I am very impressed with this location!
