I was told last year to fill my tank before June to avoid a rental fee. I did but since it was a mild winter they said I didn't order enough and charged me $180.00 which is twice the year before without notice. I figured it up roughly and that covers the gas I didn't get. I put it off long enough to cool down because I was met by a very rude woman when I called to question it but I sent a payment in with a note telling when they would receive rest of the extorted fee but that wasn't good enough they were going take the tank with my fully paid fuel or lock me out of using the fuel I paid for unless I paid the remaining balance immediately. Lovely people to do such business and in the winter months at that. I believe in carma and that women has some to answer for. Bottom line don't believe them when they tell you something because they don't honor their own words

I’ve been a customer for about 2 and a half years. Just an FYI- there is a $40 fee (which has doubled in comparison to last years $20 fee with no notice) to use their tanks if you don’t buy two tanks in a year. I only have a gas range using the tanks and it goes quite far. From the very beginning I’ve been “fee’d” I purchased a tank in November thinking I had until November to purchase the 2nd before I got the fee, but apparently it was June 1-June 1. No one ever told me that. I called to order the second and the lady was like, there’s also a 40$ fee added to your total. Seems like they’re just out to get your money. Then I told the lady I was going to switch and she said she’d send someone out to pick up the tanks, 1 of which still has maybe 1/3 of propane still in it. They even wanted the gas back I ALREADY paid for! I couldn’t believe it! It’s safe to say I’m searching for a new propane provider. The only positive I have is the delivery drivers are very friendly and open to questions or concerns you may have.Revised— 3 days later they came and STOLE the tanks while I took my children swimming! I say stole because I already paid for the tank that still was 1/3 the way full. I went to cook dinner for my family and saw they came and took them, once again with no warning or notice. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would stay far away from this company if you’re considering them.

I'm a new customer and I'm very impressed by their work in getting me changed over. Scott did a super job in checking everything out and making sure we was satisfied before he left. Thanks alot! look forward to being a long time customer.

I have been a customer here for about 15 yrs. Great service every time! People complain about running out of gas, but they tell you to call when the tank is at 35% to give them time to plan their deliveries and get everyone before they run out! If you don't call when you are supposed to and you run out, it's a self inflicted wound!

I was a customer for 4 years I used it for my full house generator it started once a week I’m all electric if power goes out we have no way to heat our home we came home from work and out propane tank was gone along with the 60% propane and the regulator for my generator we called them immediately! They said we owed for tank rental no bill no late notice? The rude lady said they don’t send them they stole 60% of my propane when they took my tank I can say this very dishonest and rude and I’ve been told by other the same thing happened to them that had generators ! RUDE THIEFS!

Absolute worst propane supplier in the area and no communication. Came through my yard without notice and tore up the lawn when I was at work. You are better off getting your own tank or going through another company rather than paying a yearly, overpriced fee just to lease their tank.

My uncle called these people 3 to 4 times to get gas cause he was almost out an they never showed up an now he is out of gas so no heat. Thanks Rutland gas for caring about your customers.

I've been a Rutland customer for 5 years m/l and have had excellent service. Several times I received delivery on the same day I called. I don't expect them to drop everything and redo the schedule just for me. I believe in the 20_percent rule, call at 20 percent. I am a customer that lives at what seems to be near the furthest end of their territory and have never been ignored or allowed to go empty! Thank you Rutland.

Excellent customer service skills on phone & office.Friendly reliable service.One of their employees hooked up new service in my cabin. He was on time, polite, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.
