Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter is NW Ohio's home for open skating, drop-in hockey, skating lessons, and more. It is considered the best ice arena in the region, with multiple rinks, a pro shop, and food. The facility is a great place for shows and activities, hosting events like a Winter Wonderland with beautiful lights and displays, which is great for adults and children. It provides a good atmosphere for indoor sports like soccer and football, though it can be chilly. The floors are comfortable for walking, and the environmental conditions are good. The staff and security are very pleasant. The community really takes pride in this amazing gem, which features many upgrades and offers something cool for the community every season.
Nice venue. Very clean. Daughter played broomball there for first time. Be prepared, it is much colder in the ice arena than anticipated. Dress like you are going to be outside. Great facility overall.

I've been skating at Tam o shanter since I first started playing organized hockey. It has the original rink side with the loft bar and grill with a view of the action down below and the newer side. Both sides offer a lot of hockey programs and open skate
