We found the Rock Bottom team to be excellent! From the design stage with Tim To George and his team on the ground…” A well oiled machine”!! We are very pleased with what they’ve done for our landscape.
Highly recommended.

I've been working with Ed and Rock Bottom since summer of 2021 to install a large stone patio - with hot tub, bar, fire pit and fountain feature - across the back of my house. We completely revamped the landscaping in the front of the house too, including two stone inlay sidewalks, etc. The work - and workers! - was all spectacular. Ed was always responsive (and still is!) We're tweaking/finishing a few things, but I couldn't be happier with what we gave created! It's my own personal oasis. I'm planning another project next year and will DEFINITELY be working with Ed and the entire Rock Bottom Crew.Services: Grass seeding

We’re glad we found Chris through a NexGen Lawns representative as an artificial turf installer w/ Rock Bottom Landscaping. Chris responded right away to provide a quote then got us scheduled in a reasonable amount of time to solve our issue of living in mud so now the dogs have a much more sanitary, fun space! As you see, they’re happy now!! Chris & his install team did a GREAT job too! Highly recommend for your artificial turf needs.

Used Rock Bottom in 2016 and 2017 for a retaining wall and a walkway. Was very happy with the work on both projects. Wanted to have more work done and some warranty work done on the walkway. Reached out to this company countless times with phone calls, and also stopped in at one point. Was told over and over again that the owner was the one who was going to contact me. Well, that never happened! Whoever the owner is, is a complete joke of a business man. The unprofessionalism of this man is utterly dumfounding to me. If you are that busy and don't want to take on more work, that is fine, but at least say that and not ignore a previous customer who paid you lot's of money back in '16 and '17. I have found another company that is very happy to take my money and do the work. Rock Bottom still owes me warranty work, but I'll pay someone to fix the issue before this company ever get's another dollar from me! When the world get's back to normal and your company is working at a normal pace, think about all the customer's that you gave the middle finger too!

This company hires rude people who don't care about the surrounding properties and think it's funny when approached by those with concerns about said property.

We started a two year massive, expensive project with Mr. Ed Lechler and company. We built in indoor pool, pond, gardens, barn restoration and much, much, more. After the honeymoon is over we still love Ed. He is a man of his word and still looks at the property as if it was his own. This is rare. The real story is how he shared that vision with his men, all his men. They all look at the property as if it were their own. That is where the real story is. I genuine like and respect everyone from Ed's extensive crew. What a winning team!

We did a very elaborate backyard project with Rock Bottom Lawn and Landscape and the planning, the process, and execution was nothing short of sensational. Working with Ed, a man with amazing integrity and drive, as well as his extremely professional team, was nothing short of spectacular. They literally built a resort in our backyard and built our dream, an oasis for us to enjoy everyday. Do yourself a favor and sit down with their creative team and see what dream they can fulfill for you. You will NOT be disappointed. I wish I could give 10 stars, because that's what they deserve.

Review of Rock Bottom Lawn and Landscaping: Beautiful work by great peopleSummary:Without reservation, I’d recommend Rock Bottom Lawn and Landscaping for grading, drainage, new lawns or any landscaping project large or small. They are an established local business you can trust. The Project:When my wife and I moved into our home a year ago, we knew that the front and back yards needed a major overhaul. There was debris, rocks, holes, overgrown bushes, extensive poison ivy and much more, but most of all, a major drainage problem in the backyard that prevented the use of the yard. Some areas in the yard never dried up and over the years the swale had leveled out. In addition, the view was bland; ivy, dead grass and constant mud made the yard look lifeless. The greatest need was regrading, followed by considerations for beautification. The project was to too involved for me to tackle on my own, so I sought estimates for the regrading and drainage, and I also welcomed the creativity a landscaping company may offer regarding the appearance.Estimates.I did some research on local landscaping companies. I checked reviews, checked public records to learn of civil or criminal complaints made about the companies, etc. Without personal knowledge of sole proprietor businesses run out of homes, I eliminated those options due to the prevalent fraud, poor business practices, and lack of dependability and timeliness that taints those small business landscapers that actually do a great job. In the end, I contacted four businesses for estimates. One of the businesses never returned my calls or emails, so I ended up with three estimates. Two of the estimates were close in price and one was about double. Here’s when everything changed. Two of the three companies came in and wrote and estimates based on what I said I wanted, but didn’t interject any concerns or reservations about my project; they provided estimates. Of those two, one never returned calls or emails after providing the estimate, and the other was only responsive when I was a fresh marketing lead. Only one of the three businesses took the time to not only listen to my goals, but also to explain their concerns about issues that I had not considered that could affect the outcome of my project. This was not marketing to make more money; this was insight to ensure success. This company was Rock Bottom Lawn and Landscaping in Strongsville.Rock Bottom is great.Eric from Rock Bottom spent considerable time discussing my goals, and worked closely with my budget to determine the best approach. He provided many pricing options, such as regrading with or without installing perforated drain pipe, cleaning the yard, installing a new lawn, new trees, new shrubs, etc. and was very patient with me as I made choices and changes. He provided many suggestions and alternatives on how to attain a great look within my budget. In the end, I had grading, drainage, new trees and shrubs, a seeded lawn, sandstone outcroppings, new flowerbeds, mulch and a dry riverbed installed. Rock Bottom came when they said they would (a widespread problem with many landscapers) and kept me updated as they progressed. The workers worked hard and were very polite and courteous. The trees and shrubs they brought in were bigger and healthier than any that I would be able to purchase on my own at the same price point. Throughout the project, Eric was in continuous contact by email and phone, was at my home daily, and has been checking back after completion to ensure everything was good. It’s clear that Rock Bottom wants to maintain its reputation. They don’t want to just collect their money and move on, they want to ensure they have a relationship with their customers and the community. We no longer have an ugly, muddy unusable backyard; it’s beautiful, and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

We paid over 12k dollars for our yard to be levels reseeded and add a couple trees. The lawn never did come in even after being assured that they would follow up for one year. The only thing they did follow up with was sending a fertilizer company. Too bad you can't fertilize dirt.
I would not waste my money with this company. Now it looks like I need to find another landscaper.
