Kayla has been cutting my hair for 10+ years & is the only person I let come close to my head with a pair of scissors! She is tremendously talented as a stylist, takes the time to educate her clients on best practices for hair care, and has a genuine interest in getting to know the people who come to see her.
My work life can be chaotic, which has caused me to cancel appointments at the last minute on more than one occasion -- Kayla has always been very kind, understanding, and accommodating when these things happen.
It's been amazing to watch Kayla transition from stylist to small business owner, to mom, and more during the time that we have known each other. Even as her life has become more busy, she has always made me feel like a priority & she's always very present in the conversation when I come to her salon.
I am super grateful to have found someone who takes such good care of my hair & who values me as a person, not just as a client -- I truly cannot say enough good things about Kayla, as a professional and as a human being.

I have been going to Kayla for almost 10 years. I was referred to her by a friend and can honestly say she has become a friend to me as well, simply from the countless hours I have spent in her chair and what a joy she is as an overall person.
Over the years I have gone from one end of the hair spectrum to the other and Kayla not only supports all my changes, but also executes the healthiest processes for my hair and delivers exactly what I want every time.
She is a master of her craft and I truly value her skill, professionalism and care.

I have been a consistent customer and regular referral at Phix Salon Suites for the last 10 years and my only go to girl is Kayla from Studio Mint!! To take the time to give a true and honest review about her talents alone is doing her a disservice. Kayla is tremendously talented, not to mention the only person I will ever let touch my blonde. She takes great time in learning and perfecting the color and styles that you dream of. She is realistic with her work and your hair goals but will never let you leave her chair unhappy. She is kind, and one of the hardest working women I know. I am lucky to have watched her grow a fabulous business and flourish as a young stylist to an established, successful business woman and mother and it makes our chemistry as a client/stylist even stronger! Not only has she shown up for me for dream results in studio, but she has single handedly taken endless customers I’ve sent her from bridal parties/friends and family. She’s come to my home to do 7+ girls hair for weddings I’ve been apart of as well as driving to any location I ask! I truly could go on with my experience and proud to say she has never let me down, always educates me and makes sure I am heard and taken care of as a priority. Kayla is amazing and I am thankful to not only call her my stylist, but an even better friend!
I will forever be recommending Kayla at Studio Mint (Phix Salon Suites), she is to thank for my self confidence, feeling beautiful and always leaving her chair happy!

I have been going to Kayla for the last, gosh about 10 years now! I came to her with my hair being a mess and I was looking to find myself again, starting with my hair. Kayla has done a fantastic job coaching me through my hair growth, my hair phases, and really my whole journey. I would recommend her to anyone. She takes such good care of her clients, really listens and gives sound advice. I love her so much!

I have been going to Kayla since 2016 and she has given me the various hair colors of my dreams while making sure the integrity of my hair was intact. I first came to her when I was unsatisfied with my then-colorist and she worked her magic and i have been seeing her ever since! I look forward to every appointment and know that my hair will look and feel incredible.

Kayla is simply the best! I have been going to her for years and she’s the only person that goes all the way to the root with her highlighting technique. This gives you extra time before you need to get your hair done. She also always listens to exactly what you want and nails it every time! Kayla is the BEST! I’ve been with her for 15 years for a good reason. She knows what she’s doing and every single time I leave the salon I am so happy! I will follow her to the ends of the earth because she’s just that good. If you have the opportunity, make sure you book Kayla! You won’t be disappointed! She’s even done up-dos for me and the amount of compliments I get is crazy. Seriously, she’s amazing at her craft.

I remember telling Kayla after my first appointment with Studio Mint that I thought I’d “FINALLY found my hair girl”. We all know how rare that is. I originally came to her with a botched ombré from an extremely well-known salon (after spending years growing all the highschool box coloring/damage out to my FULL natural hair color) and she not only put my mind completely at ease that my hair would not only be fine, but somehow BEYOND delivered in getting my hair exactly how I’d originally wanted. 8 years later, Kayla is still the only one touching my hair. She constantly impresses me with how knowledgeable she is, happily answers any and all questions or concerns I have and is such a light and friendly person to spend appointments with. Kayla helped me through losing hair from covid, she gives me amazing product and tool recommendations and most importantly, makes me feel so stunning in my “baby blonde balayage” as we call it. Honestly - I cannot rave about Kayla enough. I will forever be a Studio Mint girly.
Requested style: Kayla flawlessly duplicates any style or color I show her/communicate that I want.

I have been going to Kayla at Mint for the last 8 years. She is the absolute best! Shes the only one I trust with my hair and the only I recommend to all of my family and friends. She has made every vision a reality and the sweetest! Her studio is always clean, she's always on time, and very professional. Can't say enough wonderful things about her.

Kendall was great as always. I've always had trouble finding a reliable person to consistently do a good job cutting my hair until I started having Kendall cut my hair. A year or so later she has always done great and professional about it. Thanks

I was with Kayla when she was a junior hairdresser and stayed with her as she progressed 10+ years to the hairdresser that she is today at Studio Mint. We developed a nice bond. But I was unaware that she dropped me as a customer when she returned from her leave of absence. Recently, I tried to contact her on a topic, but she wouldn't respond. After several attempts, she finally responded but was dismissive and responded in a way that I was no longer relevant. I was greatly offended and had my say. Kayla went outside the boundaries of professionalism. I got the impression that Kayla will only deal with clients who pay big $ for her hair services. My hair doesn't require this. I am much older, and my hair has gotten thinner with age. Towards the end of our hair relationship, she wasn't paying attention to my haircuts. I didn't bring it to her attention since she was pregnant at that time. I am so sorry that she turned on me after all these years of my support. Kayla is aware that I can no longer give her a good recommendation.

Phix is an absolutely beautiful salon. Danielle in Elle Studio has been doing my hair for about 13yrs. Cuts, colors, style, she Always hits the nail on the head. I would recommend Phix & Danielle to ANYONE!
