This is the slowest and probably most unprofessional lender I’ve ever dealt with. Currently in the process of buying a home and they are doing everything they can to make this a more difficult process on every aspect you can think of. My broker, Sam Sabbagh, who has been apart of all of my home buying transactions in the past had to find another lender due to their incompetency. Thanks to Sam, I don’t have to deal with them and he even got me a better rate elsewhere.

They just want your money. It took me 4:30 of preprompts before I even got to hold for an agent...
This company reverse engineered efficiency so they can charge you for their issues that you need to fix.
I bought a Google pixel so I could have the "hold for me" feature just to deal with how many times I have to call, hold, and wait for them

WORST COMPANY EVER. We had requested a payoff at the beginning of the month and it was never processed correctly by another loan officer so we kept getting billed for a loan we had already paid off. Called in and got connected with someone named Edward or Eduardo and he had difficulty explaining why we still had to pay additional fees on something the original loan officer had messed up on. Didn't seem like he understood what his job was and couldn't take accountability. Was very unsure and had to leave us on hold multiple times to get answers from others. Couldn't track the loan officer we talked to at the beginning of the month. No record, nothing. When you call in, it says it's on a RECORDED line. Don't trust these people. Get your money elsewhere. There's a reason why there are barely stars.

Absolutely the worst customer service! I bought my house when the rates were really low, so I'm stuck there for now. I would NEVER use them again. If you want to speak to an actual person instead of just automated, they are across the board dumber than a box of rocks. They have no answers, but will waste your time and refuse to turn you over to a supervisor. No wonder they keep selling out and changing their name. Run, don't walk, anywhere else for a mortgage loan!

I do not recommend them. If my interest rate wasn't so low, I would refinance with another company/bank.
I have only had conversations with people from India as it relates to my loan. So hard to understand. Not against Indians but difficult to understand.
We got an equity line with a local bank because we have had a difficult time with Newrez. HOWEVER, after we paid $500 for an appraisal, I told them we want to remove our PMI. Well, we can only get one from them, that we have to pay for. We have all the documents from an appraisal company to do just that.
Now, we also have to pay a fee of up to $250 to remove it. RIDICULOUS. When we sale our house, never using them again.

Do not use these people for your loan! I was told my insurance premium for the year was $2000 so they raised my payment to cover it. Now they are telling me that they didn’t collect enough in escrow to cover it so now my payment is going up again.

This is my third mortgage with Newrez. I didn't even consider another mortgage company when seeking a mortgage. Newrez has provided exceptional customer service at every step of the process and my loan team was responsive and proactive with communication. I've never had a single complaint about Newrez and would happily recommend them to anyone.

6-14-24 UPDATE - a full week has gone by and we are still missing out $1700
6-11-24 UPDATE - 4 days later and we STILL DONT HAVE OUR MONEY BACK
6-7-24 They’ve taken $1700 out of my account 3 TIMES THIS MONTH. This has to be illegal. Disgusted with this issue and can’t believe they haven’t fixed this the first time it happened.

This company is a joke they dont care about the customer one bit. I by no choice of my own got switched to this joke of a company around the beginning of the year. I have always made my payments on time and way before the grace period. Never missed a payment or needed assistance making a payment. In may they said I missed a payment but the check was cashed on May 6. I called talked to a lady that started screaming at me and talking to me like I was stupid. So the next day I went to my bank to see who cashed the check. Turns out my check was stolen and someone cashed it under a different name. When I called and explained this situation told them I have the police report and asked for some understanding that this was no fault of my own and asked to get the late fee dropped they wouldn't do it. Thats all I want and they won't even get back to me to tell me why. Ive reached out 5 times and not once has anyone contacted me. DONT go to these people they dont care about you only money. So not only am I out a months mortgage but also am getting charged more money because thats all that matters to them what a joke!!

I received an email that my request to update my personal information was successful. I never sent a request. I called, and got a woman with a strong accent. She was not understanding my concern and eventually hung up on me. Can’t wait to have this company servicing my mortgage.

My loan got transferred to Newrez 6 months ago - my premium went up by about 100.00, and I found out its because they let my home owners ins lapse and began charging my for some Lenders Ins or something. My Ins agent and I are on my 4th phone call and 2nd email trying to get it fixed. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

don’t use this lender. This company made me lose a house and wasted 6 weeks of my time. Came back with terms and conditions 100x. Closing date pushed back a month. Cost me the whole deal because the sellers were sick of waiting weeks and weeks.
