Got some tinsels in my hair & loved them. Shannon did a great job. But unfortunately half of them didn't even last a week in my hair. It'd be nice to have them applied with the bead method rather than tying them in. My hair is too thick for it to stay in place. I think this would benefit others too.

Poor customer service.
I called in the morning to schedule a basic service (shampoo and blow dry). The lady on the phone who helped me was really nice and she scheduled my appointment with Jane who she said has experience with thicker hair (basically, curly hair). I made sure to tell her that I had natural hair and she assured me that there would be no problems.
I then received a call an hour and 15 mins before my appointment. They called me 3 times but I was at work so I missed their calls but they left a voicemail. I called back once I saw their missed calls. I spoke with a woman who asked more questions about the hair service that I wanted. She asked if I needed my hair styled with a flat iron and I said no because I just wanted a shampoo and blowout. I asked if there was a problem and if I can still come for my appointment and she said there was no issue. I even mentioned that my hair is short and it isn’t very thick or coarse but it is soft when brushed.
She proceeds to call me again 3 mins later to say that the stylist was all of a sudden not feeling well and needs to cancel my appointment. She, the lady on the phone, apologised and asked if I want to come in tomorrow but I couldn’t reschedule because my appointment had to be today.
None of this made sense because the stylist was feeling just fine 3-5 mins ago even an hour ago when I initially was called. None of this added up as to why my appointment had to be cancelled so abruptly. From what I gathered, the stylist is not comfortable working with curly hair and is only used to working with Caucasian type hair.
I couldn’t reschedule my appointment because I needed it done today because I have an event I need to be at tomorrow.
Sad.

I went to Jc Penney hair salon. Ulin was my stylist. She was amazing. She took her time and explained everything. I have had bad experiences in past at other salons I never thought I'd be so happy again. Ulin is so incredibly knowledgeable about hair and eyebrows. I'll never go anywhere again as long as she's here.

Missy is Amazing! If you want some vibrant colors in your hair such as Red, pink, blue, etc shes got you! She does a perfect job every time especially with such extreme colors!

Ulin is awesome! I highly recommend her! I had some very stubborn gray roots and she tackled them easily. She is extremely knowledgable about the hair color process and what kind to use on different hair. Love the products she uses on my hair. She knows which ones will give me the look I want and makes excellent suggestions. I got caramel highlights this last time and they are beautiful! Thank you Ulin! I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time in my life by her and it was a fantastic experience. Love how she styles my hair too! She always makes me look and feel like a million bucks! I leave there with great looking hair every time! It's wonderful to feel like your stylist is your friend!Services: Eyebrow shaping

I came here to get my curtain bangs trimmed… they were pushed back after she trimmed them so I did not even notice until I got home and pulled them forward. They are clearly uneven. We called and they told us for a refund we had to wait until tomorrow and call again for the manager.. Don’t come here to get your curtain bangs cut or even a haircut in general!Service: Haircut

I came in at the last second with no appointment that was able to get me in. I had not been to a salon in a couple of years. My hair was really long and I was so worried the last would cut it to short. I explained what I wanted and Diana the stylist cut it just like I asked. I also had her out highlights in I love it.
