The students and teachers here really care about making sure you leave happy. I've never walked out of this school unhappy with how my hair turned out. I highly recommend coming here and giving these students the experience they need to graduate while saving yourself some money as well!

Wasted my whole day of vacation. Booked an appointment. They did not tell me I need to do patch test even if I am returning customer. Waste management. They do not care. They also booked me for mentor location on the first place. It’s an hour. Nobody even cares to ask which location do you want. The appointment takers are immature to the core. They should train them well.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HAIR HERE!!
I scheduled an appointment online for a formal style over a month prior to my wedding (tomorrow June 21). I got a voicemail from Connie at Brown Aveda yesterday, two days before my wedding, saying that the 11 AM spot they offered is not available, as it is lunch hour. Weird... I wonder why would they list that as an option online?
I continued to listen and Connie then gave me the option to reschedule at either 9:30 or 12:45 (my wedding is at 5 - can't do my hair super early so 9:30 was a no go). I called back 30 minutes later and left a message saying that I would like the 12:45 appointment, and left my name and number if they needed anything else from me. No big deal, easy fix.
I got a text today - the day before my wedding - asking to confirm my appointment at 9:30. I called the number listed in the text to see if we could fix their mistake and talked to Taylor at the front desk (who I don't blame for any of this). She said no, the only appointment available was at 9:30 and there were no other options. I asked to speak to a manager or Connie since she was the one who changed my appointment, and Taylor said the manager doesn't come in until 4 HOURS LATER. How do you run a business with no manager present?
I'm usually very understanding and forgiving, but today I am LIVID. Screwing me over and leaving me scrambling to find a hairstylist one day before the biggest event of my life is unprofessional and insulting. Brown Aveda used to be my go-to for hairstyling and nail services. I'm never coming back, because the scheduling and service is an absolute nightmare.

My Stylist, JORDYN, Did an amazing job! She was very pleasant, attentive, and listened to what I really wanted to have done - with the help of the instructors she made it happen! I am very happy with my experience at the Institute today, and look forward to the next service with Jordyn. She will do very well in this field.

I would recommend the Brown Aveda Institute to all my friends. The front desk staff has always treated me kindly the second I walk through the door. I have had multiple appointments with Shannon Minney and she has never disappointed. Shannon has the utmost patience with every project she takes on. Everything is always prepped and ready to go when I show up for my appointment as well. The staff made an effort to circle back with me during a longer appointment to offer me snacks and drinks, I thought this was so thoughtful and not something every salon does. These up and coming cosmologists in training mean business. I’ve watched many of the other students work during my appointments and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust any of them with my hair. This institution takes pride in their work and it shows in how well I am treated at every visit.
