I was visiting from out of town and had a minor eye issue that was causing my right eye to tear substantially. I called three different eye doctor offices in the Strongsville area. The only office that could see me that morning was Alessio Eye MD practice. They took me right in and treated my eye issue. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and very professional. I told them that if I lived in the area that they would be my primary eye doctor! If you need an eye doctor practice I would seriously recommend this practice. They have a large well trained staff with a full range of services. Thank you to the staff at Alessio Eye MD!

one star should be no starWas looking for a second opinion and a complete eye examination. They had a cancellation and got me in right away.For the life of me, I cannot figure out how everybody gives him five stars. Sure the office looks nice. But it ends there. I had a 2:00 PM appointment, I arrived at 1:45 PM and checked in. At 2:15 I went up to the desk again to ask how much longer it would be. They said probably another 15 minutes. To me running 30 minutes late is unacceptable. And why nobody calls to tell you that they are running late?? But apparently to the Google reviewers here, they think that’s just fine. LolThis place reminds me of standing in one of those roller coaster lines at Cedar point. People everywhere, like an assembly plant.I had four different people putting their unclean hands on my face and around my eyes. Never see staff washing hands between patients. And the staff was unfriendly and they looked overworked.After being in the office, almost 2 1/2 hours, I was finally seen by Dr. Alessio . He went through my examination in under five minutes. When he asked me if there was anything else, I told him about the prescriptions that I needed and also wanted his opinion on whether I had cataracts or not. To which he said no, you do not have cataracts. That was the second opinion I was looking for, right??Fast forward three days, and my right eye was swollen and infected. I called the Alessio Eye doctor and asked if he could see me right away. They said they could squeeze me in. Long story short, I picked up an eye infection at this office. He did not do any tests or any eyedrops. Just gave me a quick look, charged me another $125 and gave me some antibiotics which made my eye blood red.I had to go to Urgent Care over the weekend because Alessio was closed. Urgent Care said why on earth did he prescribe this too you, we don’t know. They instructed me to go see a real eye doctor.So I went to see the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye institute. Within five minutes, they diagnosed me with a viral infection, not bacterial like dr Alessio was guessing at, in my right eye.Fast forward today, almost 2 months of anti-viral medication and follow up appointments, the virus is gone. Unfortunately I have some vision loss in that eye.I will never go to the Alessio Eye clinic again, and I will make sure that everybody I come in contact with knows that.And oh, Cleveland clinic said that I do have cataracts. Go figure…And now I also have blurry vision in my right eye because of the virus.So you’re probably thinking how do I know I picked up the virus at the Alessio Eye clinic?? Well, after just coming through the whole Covid pandemic, myself and all of you have been brainwashed not to touch your face, not to touch your face, not to touch your face. It’s too coincidental that everyone in their office was touching my face and nobody was washing their hands in between patients.

Worked here previously from 2016-2020, and have had routine eye care here. I won’t go into great detail, but from an internal perspective, Dr. Alessio is an incredible leader and takes time to thoroughly educate his staff. As a physician, I know how deeply he cares for his patients and the quality of care they receive. As for the technicians, they are professional and also care extensively to meet every patient’s needs. All in all, you’re going to get the best care at Alessio Eye and can leave knowing that they have your best interests at heart and in mind. As I’ve moved on with my career as a student, I will never forget how much I enjoyed being a part of this staff that cares for the community.

Dr Alessio and his staff have cared for my vision health over the past several years. Due to an event my optic nerve came under attack and i sought treatment through Dr Alessio and his staff. After quickly diagnosing possible causes of the symptoms i was experiencing i was sent to a specialist who ultimately was able to save my vision. I now see Dr Alessio annually so that i can assure my now 20/20 vision with perscription remains as long as my age allows. Thank you Dr. Aleasio and staff!!

Long time patient, and, as always, the staff is very friendly and professional. Dr Alessio is thorough and doesn't rush your appointment and questions are always answered. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and explains what is being done as you progress thru your appointment. Highly recommended.
