This is the closest kroger to me at over 20 miles away, but I love coming here. It's as clean as any other larger grocery store and the employees are always super kind. Seriously, the employees are what make it worth the trip

Would give a higher rating of they actually had cashier's. Tonight there was only self checkout and like 5 people standing around talking.

I have shopped at Kroger for 25 yrs now, and spent anywhere from $100-$800 a week over these last 7-8 yrs that I've lived in Steubenville. My family and I would go shopping every week, twice during times I had a vehicle, and we felt like family because the employees knew who we were and how much I spend there. Never had any issues until 1day, I wanna say 5 mos ago, Bernice... an older employee & a big part of why we usually felt so welcome there- greeted us, and commented on how big she had gotten since last she seen her & casually noticed my husband and absent mindedly commented how my arm was pale against my kid's n said she got her good looks from Mama and her good tan from Dad..(the man being referred to as her dad is actually her step dad and he had just finished a roof job and had the tan to match). slightly off put by the comment, I informed her that the guy wasn't her dad and apologetic , she told me she thot that was my husband and told her she was right... my husband but not her father. she said she didn't mean anything by it but was curious to know if her father was mixed... I said I didn't see why it shud matter and that his race is irrelevant considering he hadn't seen her since she could hold her own bottle. Bernice apologized and went back to her work. when we checked out she stood over my daughter as if she had done something wrong. we came in a few days later and she would walk into every aisle shortly after my kid, as if she were following her. we reached check out and Bernice was all but standing on my kid's heel "putting stuff away that I myself watched her pick up a second before... she was following my child and wayy too close! uncomfortable, my kid asked if she wanted help putting something away and Bernice told her No, she would just wait til we were done do put the stuff away...I asked her what stuff cuz other than the pack of gum that she picked up to put rite back, her hands were empty and she literally said nothing and stared off as if I never said a thing! my daughter has no idea what was happening and kept tryna tell me politely that she was uncomfortable. at this point, my blood had hit the boiling point and I blurted out that she's gonna hate it but gonna need to get used to it because she is profiling u... she's suddenly believes UR either shoplifting or ur about to cuz she just concluded ur bi racial so now ur gonna b watched like a hawk..but let them! let them see every thing u do in this store until they finally realize this lady got it wayy wrong! I never bothered to tell Bernice that my child's father was half Greek and half Italian and 100% Caucasian! that didn't help! The last two times I've been here, I've said nothing of the various workers following us thru the store, or about how there are two women now practically holding my hand as I check out.. because I know it's kinda like her job and eventually she would see we r the same people she used to treat like customers not criminals! after that, I go in there and every single aisle I attempt to thru, is suddenly closed and they try literally segregate us from the other people checking out, and they close every register besides the one that want me to use. they don't use my bags, and put my groceries into plastic store bags no matter how many times I ask them to just put the stuff back in the buggy and let me pay so I can bag my stuff outside. I'm thru! I spend too much money in this store for some undercover racist to suddenly decide my kid is bi racial and we are unwelcome there because of this... I'll ride my bike to weirton , wellsburg or wintersville! I even asked every single person this lady has enlisted in my family harassment WHAT THE HELL DID ANY OF US DO WRONG because I know teens lie.. and even tho this one has never even acted like she was a thief... maybe one of the workers who harass me now know something that I don't but NO! NOTHING.. instead they pretend that I'm not being singled out when they turn the

This place is literally a joke. The staff talk to you like your garbage and take way to long to fill a script. It took them a hour and a half just to fill my prescription. 1 prescription at that just one! If I could give no stars I would. I have never met such a ignorant Pharmacist in my life! She really needs to learn how to treat people! And if she don’t like her job maybe she should find somewhere else to work!

The management at this location and needs replaced or retrained. I went to get Deli meat on a Friday at 7pm. They had to close early cause the staff was working alone. One person. I understood, it happens. I Came back the next day at 4pm, same guy . Closed early again!!! -Same reason- He was so upset with the treatment that I thought he was going to have a stroke right there. But again he was alone and they were closed. So I went to the Stores customer service counter to say this is not right. So where's the management here and why aren't they back there with rolling up their sleeves and helping this guy??? Instead of making an executive decision, and a poor one at that, and closing the deli again with the attitude the the customers just have to understand. I understand that this location's management thinks they are too good to do the work of the employees that are under them. I understand the the customer is not the main concern at this location and I understand that the store manager is lazy. When I asked for her she was pointed out . As he Deli is closed and customers are asking for her she really busy standing at the end of a checkout line doing noting except looking like she was bagging , then pushing an empty cart to another staff member and directing them to take it to the doorway, she walked 5 steps, maybe, and then back to the same empty spot to stand and look important .. Wow, I mean this is just all around disrespectful to the Employees, to the customers, and "Hey KROGER" it is to you as well. and your paying her to do this.!!! If that man in the deli quit as a customer looking in, I would not blame him, he would be in the right. As a customer, there are many places to go besides here to shop.. I don't recommend you go to this one if you expect them to acknowledge the importance of the Staff and Customers.

The produce is awful. And whatever happened to name brand foods? Everything seems to be Kroger brand. I miss real grocers like we had when I was younger. Foodland was the grocery store, and Suburban Meat Market was the place to get the best meat in the area. Now it's fatty mystery meat from Kroger.

A Horrible store, with Horrible prices, and Horrible policies. I use to hate Walmart, now I hate Kroger. Now, I shop at Walmart. Kroger sucks, and it's frightening.

This store used to be great. More recently they are out of stock more frequently. Carts are always empty and most are broken. Employees are all standing around at front end, including managers while lines are long and cashiers have to bag groceries. Unacceptable to see management standing around talking to family and friends while customers are waiting.
