STILL WAITING ON A REFUND ON A DEPOSIT FROM A JOB NOT DONE ON JULY 13 2023 AT 1130 AM. THAT MORNING AT 0951 I RECIEVED A TEXT SAYING THAT THE JOB FROM THE DAY BEFORE WASN'T DONE AND THEY WOULD BE RUNNING LATE. HE SAID IT WOULD BE AT 130PM HE GUESSES. AT 315PM HE TEXT AND SAID HE WAS ON HIS LAST LOAD SO HE WOULD BE THERE IN HOPEFULLY AN HOUR. I SPOKE TO HIM AT 548PM AND HE STILL HADN'T MADE IT TO MY HOUSE. SO I TOLD HIM I JUST WANTED MY DEPOSIT BACK. HE WANTED TO RESCHEDULE FOR THE NEXT DAY BUT I WAS UNABLE TO. I HAD PEOPLE WAITING THERE ALL DAY THAT DAY AND I HAD TO WORK THE NEXT DAY. HE SAID HE WOULD GIVE ME MY DEPOSIT BACK.HE REPLIED BACK ON JULY 17 SAYING HE WAS WORKING ON THE DEPOSIT AND HIS LADY WASN'T AT THE BANK ON SATURDAY. HE SAID THAT ITS A PROCESS TO SEND MONEY BACK THROUGH VENMO IT TAKES TIME FOR ME TO BE PATIENT. HE ALSO SAID IN THE SAME TEXT THAT I WILL GET YOU BACK YOUR DEPOSIT AS SOON AS I CAN. JULY 18 HE TEXT AND SAID HE MET WITH THE LADY THAT CONTROLS HIS TRUST AND SHE APPROVED THE WITHDRAW. AND THAT THEY WILL CUT A CHECK AND MAIL IT TO HIM. HE THEN ASKED HOW I WOULD WANT TO RECEIVE THE DEPOSIT BACK. I SAID VENMO (THATS THE WAY I PAID THE DEPOSIT). ON JULY 19 HE SAID HE RECEIVED THE CHECK IN THE MAIL AND HE SAID HE HAD TO GO TO WALGREENS TO GET IT LOADED ONTO VENMO (THATS NOT HOW VENMO WORKS) AND HE WOULD LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS IT GOES THROUGH ON HIS END. JULY 19 WAS THE LAST COMMUNCATION I HAD WITH HIM. I CONTACTED VENMO SAYING I NEVER RECIEVED THE SERVICES THAT WERE PAID FOR. THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT IN WHICH I DID AND MADE A REPORT. I CONTACTED MY LAWYER AND HE SAID I SHOULD FILE A SMALL CLAIMS BUT BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY $150 I WOULD HAVE HAD MORE COURT FEES IN IT (WHICH IM SURE MR SEGREST IS AWARE OF HOW THAT WORKS). I KNOW I WAITED TO DO A REVIEW ON THIS COMPANY BUT I AM STILL OWED THAT MONEY. SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MOVING COMPANY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ROLLINS MOVING ON LEFFELS LANE. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND GOT MY MOVE DONE IN THREE HOURS. AND THEY DON'T REQUIRE A DEPOSIT!!

Great company. Communication was on point. They were great people, took care of our things, packed the U-Haul for us perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints. Corey saved us the hassle of having to move ourselves. Thank you for your great work ethic and running such an affordable business. Other movers cost an arm and leg. Segrest is affordable. If I ever move back around that area, I will definitely contact them again! So, thank you Seagrest Moving & Hauling!

I recently called Segrest to help me move my mother, not only were they absolutely amazing and efficient, they knew size wise what could and could not fit. They took down beds and rebuilt them as well as as any other furniture. They were super careful with everything that they moved. I was in shambles trying to get my mother packed and moved while she was in the hospital. Segrest was so amazing that they even remembered where I put important things like cords to electric recliners! They walked me through the move wonderfully. I truly believe that Segrest is a God send when you can not do things yourself. Thank you for ALL that you guys do!

Very professional, courteous and prompt. Took care of my items like they were their own. They are everything and more of what you want and need in a moving company. Well I wish that I would’ve paid more attention to the negative reviews because my experience seems to have followed a common pattern. I needed to have a few items moved for my dad to an assisted living facility. The move was scheduled for 10:30 am and I arranged for someone to be there to unlock and indicate the items to be moved. That person could only be on sight till 12:00 pm. At 11:50 am I got a text that the movers were almost there. This is way past being over doand since my help needed to leave momentarily I told them to cancel the move and to refund my $150 deposit.No surprise I still haven’t received it nor any kind of apology. Buyer be aware. I’m anxious to see what kind of response this review gets. Probably that it’s my fault no doubt.

I had Mr Segrest's movers scheduled/booked to do my move last month 10/18/23. Unfortunately they had to cancel 11/3/23 because of a family emergency. I was told by Mr. Segrest that he would return my deposit but so far NO RETURN OF DEPOSIT! First he blamed it on not knowing where to send it, old or new address. A week went by still no deposit. Then he blamed it on his bookkeeper. Still after 10 days NO DEPOSIT! I think I've been pretty nice and understanding so far but I'm done. I guess I'll see him in court!! ?

Corey and Jessica, firstly, are fantastic people. They are personable and professional, and very capable. There were no issues moving our items carefully and up three flights of stairs in some instances.Their process was easy. I made a deposit via venmo and received a time frame of when they would arrive for the move. Any delay was communicated quickly.I've honestly never seen a moving team as efficient as them. I expected the move to take at least an hour longer than it did.Friends, I've had too many bad experiences with movers, small businesses and big box stores. I've even paid up front for a move only to have the person disappear into oblivion...This was BY FAR the BEST experience I've had. We will definitely call Segrest for our next move. Please save yourself some time and heartache and hire them. You will not be disappointed.Thank you again, Corey and Jessica!

WOW, Excellent service does exist in Springfield! We had our new HVAC unit installed by another company last year and have had nothing but problems from the time of installation. I made numerous attempts to get service from the original contractor with little to no assistance. On Christmas Eve my new unit was not producing heat during one of the coldest days on record, and I had a house full of realitives I couldn't keep warm. I began Googling HVAC contractors in my area and then calling for emergency service request. As I assumed finding someone to come out that day, or even that month was seeming impossible. Then I contacted Segrest and everything changed. Not only did I receive a quick return call, they came out on Christmas Eve! The technician found, addressed, and corrected the improperly installed unit and got my family heat on Christmas! Talk about the gift that keeps on giving! I expected, and was happily ready to pay a premium for this beyond superior service, but once again to my shock this was NOT the case, just honest people making an honest living.

Hired them to move my elderly mother. They were over two full hours late from the stsrt time they set. When they finally pulled up both people just had to finish their cigarettes before they got started. So after being 2 hours late and nothing more than a “sorry about that” and not one offer to reduce the price. The only reason they’re getting two stars is because they actually did get the job done. But there’s zero professionalism that I witnessed and they dont care about your schedule whatsoever.
