“FYI. When you are on constant oxygen flow rather than just explaining the machine, explain:1) the importance of using the proper O2 level as told by their physician.- my mother was only supposed to use her concentrator at bedtime. My mother did not instead, she used it all the time 24 seven.2) explain the consequences of increasing that number.- She also increased the number from 5 to 8, which is terrible. If you increase the number higher than you’re supposed to that allows your lungs to not function properly. It basically makes your lungs not work and the machine is working for your lungs. And that’s not the point of this machine. It is only supposed to assist with breathing.3) educate them on proper breathing when using the equipment.- My mother was a mouth breather, so therefore 70% of the oxygen she was taking into her nose was releasing from her mouth, hence reducing the oxygen going into her lungs. I kept telling her to keep closing her mouth when she breathes, but she refused to listen because I’m not a medical trained person but I have medical professional friends who told me this information when I explained my mother situation. The end result of these three topics above could have led to my mother dying. However, the coroner’s report stated she died of cardiac arrest. So this is just a statement to let your potential customers know if you plan on being on oxygen listen to your doctor.Don’t increase your number on your own because it could mean death.Let the equipment help your lungs, not replace them.”
