Carpenter's Market is a friendly, small town market and butcher shop. It is known for having the best meat, better than steaks at a restaurant, with good prices and a fresh deli. The quality of the deli selection is excellent. The employees are helpful and the owner is very helpful. It is a great place for general food shopping items and is very convenient. The lunch special is highly recommended. It is worth the drive and is the best thing in Thorville, offering something for everyone.

This small grocery store has the old fashioned meat counter and the meat is the best you can buy....better than steaks at a restaurant. Have bought their meat package and will do so again. It's worth the drive if you are in Fairfield, Hocking or Perry County to get fresh meat.
