My husband and I randomly found Van Aken market en route to Michigan. We're big fans of Shinola to begin with, but would always make our purchases at one of the local Detroit stores. We were so impressed with this location - the store is beautiful, clean, and fully stocked always. We've since made it a go to stop every time we travel to Michigan. Marci and Michael, two of the stores managers, are the best of the best. Countless times they've gone out of their way to have our merchandise monogrammed, shipped to us, and simply have ensured we're always taken care of. They've even gone out of their way to help us with local recommendations, etc. Marci and Michael are true professionals - huge shout out to them both for treating every customer like a VIP no matter how big or small their purchase.

wonderful courteous staff at this store. Shoutout to Phanawn for his informative answers to all my questions regarding Shinola watches. His insights and product knowledge is commendable towards deciding which particular watch to purchase. Thanks for taking the time , Phanawn! The powers that be need to give him a $ raise ! Every staff member at Shinola Shaker Heights is incredibly kind and helpful! Marci did an excellent job letting me know all the information about the product I was interested in, and followed up after the purchase as well to make sure everyone was satisfied. I would highly recommend, you won't regret it!

We moved home to Cleveland from Detroit and we were proud to celebrate as the Shinola brand came online in midtown Detroit. I have one of the first Shinola watches and a spectacular portfolio and have purchased countless gifts from both the founding store and Shaker's spectacular outpost. If you're looking to lavish yourself with a very special timepiece, leather good, bicycle, and all matter of related gifts, then run to Shinola at the VAD. Ask for Fontaine. She's impressive.

Drove 45 minutes to buy a watch. The band was a different color than I wanted. Salesperson refused to change the color even though there were several options available on their custom wall. Didn't want to spend on extra $100 for something I didn't want. None factory store will be more flexible.

I just randomly stopped in and found a goldmine. Come for a free cola, stay for the music, and get an amazing watch, leather product, journal or bike. It's all high quality items from the Detroit manufacturing revitalization. Austin was fantastic! I could chat with him all day. This is definitely my first choice for leather gear. Enjoy!
