I cant say enough about the Shaker Heights Animal Hospital. We’ve been bringing our dog there for almost a year now and every experience Ive had with them thus far has been fantastic. They are so attentive, caring, knowledgeable, genuine, and friendly! Knowing we have Dr. Welsh (and Dr. Firestone), along with the rest of the staff gives us peace of mind - knowing we are always in such good hands. Thank you SHAH!

We have been going to Shaker Heights Animal Hospital for 6 years ever since we first moved to Cleveland from Seattle. We had no idea where to take our sweet pets but we hit the jackpot when we landed at Shaker Heights Animal Hospital. The vets and the vet techs are like family to us and they truly love our pets and much as we do!!! One of our cats was very ill with an unknown illness and they were able to troubleshoot and get him back to health in no time. I highly recommend going here!!! Thank you from Roux, Scout and Oliver!!!

I have been bringing my cats to Dr. Welsh and Shaker Heights Animal Hospital for the past 5 years and have been very pleased with the new ownership. I find the staff to be highly informative, knowledgeable, and conscientious. Though I know they may not always be able to help in an emergency, when they can be, they will be. I was very grateful when they were able to get my cat in for an urgent matter and gave excellent care and service, showing the highest level of service and compassion.

I am pleased with the care from the vet techs. We had our dog neutered recently and I was dismayed that the doctor never spoke to me either before or after the surgery! I was called by a receptionist to be told that the procedure went well. My questions before the surgery were answered by a vet tech. It was an expensive procedure and only a vet tech and secretary spoke to me. I also don't like that they don't tell you that they are charging a 3% credit card fee. I would have used my debit card had I known. On the other hand, they are close to home and when our dog was injured a few months ago after stepping on something, they took him in that day and removed the foreign body. Also the clinic seems clean and well run and much quieter than the clinic we take our other dog to. We switched to here because the location was closer for us. I wish the vet would at least speak to you when having something like a neutering done! I'm a professional in the human medical community and this would never fly with human patients to be only seen by techs for a surgical procedure.

My 16 year old cat has had 3 different vets, and I've never been really happy with them. I switched to Shaker Heights recently, and I have already noticed such a huge difference in service. The staff is extremely professional and efficient. The hospital itself is clean and just feels like a really nice place to bring your cat or dog. I wish I would have switched to this vet years ago.
-Extremely satisfied customer.

This animal hospital is fine but their hours of operation exclude any working professional. They don’t offer any early or evening hours. They won’t do most services during 12-1. They don’t have Saturday hours ever. They are forcing customers to take time off work for routine appointments or services. I hope they understand excluding people doesn’t serve the community.

Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. We have been having issues with an injury on our beloved dogs paw for months and they really have made such a difference. I text them photos of my dog and they always respond right away. The office is so nice and smells great.

Shaker Heights Animal Hospital is nothing short of professional. The inside of the building is clean, beautiful, and I like how they handle cats separately from dogs. The receptionists have always been quick to answer the phone and respond to emails. Dr Walsh has been my vet for a few years and I highly recommend him and his practice.

Our dog loves it here. The vets and vet techs and front staff are all fantastic. Special thanks to Laura, whom our dog loves to see when she walks right in. Clean facilities. Professional help. Pickles has been thriving. They’ve been there for our bumps in the road, too, and without them we would have been lost. Great location to boot. Thank you!

I went In for a checkup and shots for my dear sweet miniature Australian Shepherd. My only medical concern was that she was overweight and that I was having a hard time getting her to shed those pounds. With utter disregard for my sense of caring for my dog, the veterinary technician sarcastically replied, "It's too bad that walking her doesn't do anything to help her get rid of those pounds." For her dismissive snide and insensitive comment I felt like spitting on her. She had no insight into how often I walked her (daily), nor if I had any time and opportunity to walk her more frequently. I think that a self righteous vet tech like this is best employed as a coroner's technician. On the positive side, the vet there is a genial and attentive guy.
