Before I posted this I read different reviews and there was one I couldn’t disagree with more about customer service and the managers there. So first I just closed on a house so I’m in there a lot at least 3-4 days a week. The girls at customer customer are always polite when I go there always help to the best of their abilities and are so nice as well as the cashiers at the checkouts, I’ve also had multiple managers help me such as Rachel and Isaiah. Rachel helped me buy appliances for my house got me set up for delivery and everything was so polite and told me everything I needed to know about the products I bought got me an extended warranty was really a great manager. Isaiah knows me by name and always comes up to me and says hi and chats with me about what projects I’m working on. He’s polite, respectful, helpful and for being young He knows how to be a manager and knows his stuff. He has always helped me with questions about products I get and when I place online orders he helps me with those. I use a motorized cart as I can’t walk very much and he’s walked the store with me carrying large items I couldn’t fit in my cart and also helps me load in my car. Anybody who goes to this store and doesn’t talk to the cashiers, or Rachel or Isaiah is missing out they will make your experience so much better. Thank you St.Clairsville for having great associates and managers represent you.

Ordered a well pump that I was guaranteed I could pick up by July 12th. FedEx dropped off my pump to the store at 2:15 pm on the 11th. I went to the store at 4pm on the 12th, to pick it up. The girl at the customer service desk said FedEx never delivered my package, so I tracked my order and showed her it said it was delivered to the store the day before. Another girl come up to the counter and said yes they did have it, that it was in receiving and hasn't been scanned in yet. After about 20 mins of waiting, the second girl tells me that receiving lost my order and that I would have to sort the issue out Monday. I explained that wouldn't work for me and that I needed to speak with a manager. After another 10 min wait, a manager who looks like he just graduated high school walks up and says his name is Isiah. I explained to him the entire situation and the urgency of the pump, and his response to the situation was "I'm sorry we can't find your package, but I'm just the front end manager and I don't know what else I'm suppose to do". So I tell him I would like to speak with the manager above him, and he tells me that I have to come back another day to do that. In the end, I cancelled my $200 order and took my business else where. I have been a manager in retail before and all I have to say is that if my team was that careless with customers and their products, they would have been terminated. Very unprofessional!

Needed lawn mower parts, they seem to know what was needed, I've also used them for every little fix it thing I've needed for the house,+yard, and added me for an extra discount, my Military Discount! Sometimes you have to be patient getting employees bc they are helpful,+ much of their info. answering questions keeps them busy,+ there are certain days+times you will notice how busy they can get,but the discounts, service, help loading,+ customer service, have made this an ideal hardware store!
One older employee walked me thru' putting on a part, washer placement on screw so no leaks!
He told me to call a number on my receipt to be entered in their give aways...the next time I was in,he asked how the part went in,fit, & did I remember to enter that contest?
I'll be heading there soon, concrete repair, + my favorite, the very large industrial size garbage bags!

Menards or St. Clair Lumber will get my business. It’s worth the drive. Twice I ordered online and both times had to cancel. First order was a fire pit for pick up. I get there, shows two in stock. Could see it on top shelf but was told they are out. Lazy employees. Had to cancel. Second chance was a delivery order. Nearly $1000. Set up delivery for a Saturday nearly 6 days in advance. Delivery was confirmed two days before. Then at 2p on Friday I get a call to say we don’t deliver on Saturdays. Wouldn’t deliver that day either as they called too late in the day and he said they are done at 3p. Imagine that….maybe call sooner? Smh Get it together Lowe’s. There’s more competition out there!

We purchased a lot of materials from Lowe's when we built our home 4 years ago. They are so very helpful and back everything purchased through them.

Bought a fairly expensive lawnmower at Lowes. Since I bought it 3 years ago I've had to have the plastic carburetor cleaned out twice to get it to start. Disgusted, I took the receipt to see what they would do, which was only to tell me to contact the manufacturer. No help to me. Guess I'll just recommend never to buy a lawnmower at Lowes. Shouldn't have to get a new lawnmower fixed after just one season of use on a very small lawn!
