TRU by Hilton...was here on business for close to a month. Great experience, I like the lobby/ business/ social gathering area... complete with a pool table? I'm sold. Helpful and friendly staff... the TRU brand is an altogether different approach, the hotel is designed for a more at- home, comfortable feel, where you can have a quiet place to get some work done, but also to relax and shoot some pool or sit outside where they have a nice area to enjoy the weather, with comfortable couches and chairs. They have a pretty decent breakfast too.

Stopped to stay the night here on our road trip across the country. It was a very nice, clean room. The lobby had many amenities and a wonderful breakfast. The absolute best part was the service! Mohamed helped us and he was a total sweetheart! Made our whole day. They even offered us some food to go and wished us very safe travels. Loved it here!

While on my long way home with a 1000 mile drive , the fog got real bad so had to stop for the night. Stopped at this hotel I always saw along the turnpike. Reasonable one night rate,Loved the design of the room, hardwood and not carpet that makes you cringe. Clean and airy with nice colorful colors. Had this radio body wash I tried out and loved; will have to search for it. The bathroom has a walk in shower; water pressure could be stronger. If you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night there was a little night light; a nice added touch. My only fault would be that the room did not have a microwave. So if staying for a long time and want to heat up food could be an issue. Not sure if there was one in the lobby somewhere. The bed was so comfortable I slept in late and missed breakfast. They also have a later than normal checkout at 12 which is convenient. Will be adding the TRU brand to my list of hotels to stay in the future.

Needed a place for a couple of nights outside of Detroit and this was the pick. The location seemed quite and safe, staff was super friendly, but the rooms were a bit smaller than other Tru's i've stayed out. Still a solid stay and would recommend.

My girlfriend discovered a bed bug on her side of the bed during our breakfast in bed on the second day of our stay. Our room number was 210. We quickly gathered it into a coffee cup, went down the stairs to the front desk, and showed the staff member. After taking the cup from us, she went to confirm that the object was, in fact, a bed bug. To be clear, there was not an infestation; we just discovered one bed bug. She transferred us to room 310 and gave us a one-night refund. As the hotel was to blame for the bed bug, I asked if she might assist us in moving our belongings as there were no carts available. She informed me that I was out of luck and that all I could do was wait downstairs while my belongings stayed in a room where we had already discovered a bed bug. After overhearing our chat, the breakfast lady—I think her name was Shirley—kindly let us to use her breakfast cart to transfer our belongings to our new room. I was quite appreciative, but if that's the case, I think the front desk could have done more to assist with moving our belongings. Our business stay was less than ideal since even though we checked the mattresses in room 310 and were certain there were no bed bugs there, we were still quite concerned that there would be. The paranoia had already set in.The bathtub also had strange stains in the color of excrement. It was repulsive to look at while taking a shower because nothing else was that color. I'm not sure if it was a result of building construction or not, but the bathtub caulking was not brown in color. When the General Manager answered our return call request, she rudely implied that we staged the bed bug ourselves, in response to our protest for a larger refund. Her justification was that nothing was discovered by the exterminator that was sent in after our stay. She essentially labeled us liars and claimed that we were fortunate to receive a refund for one night. I am quite shocked that the Hilton name allows the hotel employees to handle their guests in this manner.

Checked in on the app so I selected a big room. The rooms vary because of the architecture of the building. The room was clean and check out was easy. There are allot of restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes. There is a gas station nearby so it is a good stop over

For the life of me, I don’t understand why the bed frame needs to stick out so far in a narrow room!! Hotel was clean and nice, room was clean, the complimentary breakfast was per usual. Undercooked meat, hair in the eggs. Stick with cereal, pancakes, yogurt and bagels

Not sure why so many negative reviews. Hotel is clean, staff is great, rooms are super clean. All of our requests were met at the front desk. Beds are comfortable & I got an extra pillow for my shoulder since I just had surgery. We were looking for a room so we didn't have to take a chance on crazy drivers on NYE & this is around the corner from our buddy's place. We would definitely stay here again. To the person complaining about the carpet pattern...seriously? It's a relatively new hotel, couple of yrs old. TRU may be our new go to hotel when on vacation.

Loved this stop. Perfectly clean and had everything to make an overnight stop comfortable. Generous shampoo, conditioner and lotion, ice and water fountains, nightstand with lights and outlets on both sides of the bed (not as common as you’d think). DoorDash service direct to room. Plentiful parking. Friendly staff. 10/10.
