This heinens in Rocky river has some of the gochiest older employees.
I've sworn several times to never shop there again.
I've never felt this way in lakewood marcs, gianteagle, drugmart, or cvs .
Last 2 times I shopped for groceries Made long trips to gianteagle where every single employee greeted me with a smile and offered assistance.
The food was much better, the selections much better, the costs better, and most of all nobody stood behind me ready to smack my hands with a ruler. Nobody reprimanded me in front of other customers.
I always liked the two brothers that I've come in contact with, but they have no idea how rude some of their employees are who chase away their frequent shoppers. They ought to be ashamed of them for giving heinens a bad name.
I'm so sorry to give a bad review because there's a handful of very courteous employees...
Nancy, Zach, and others at courteous counter, Mandy in prepared foods. Employees in deli
and produce are great! Tina included. And George!
The fresh meat dept Employees
UGH!!! RUDE! Never go in that dept.
My review based on 20 yrs plus shopping there.

I wish I could post a picture of their vegetable oil. I’ve never seen anything so bad in my life. The oil burns dark brown in the pan. I thought Heinens was a good store. I can honestly say Aldi’s has better food them them.

I have just recently been doing all my shopping at the Rocky River Heinen’s store after years at a different grocery chain. I was in the Rocky River store on Wednesday and was trying to get the layout. An employee approached me and asked if he could help me find anything. I mentioned a couple of items and, rather than just giving me the aisle no., he walked me to each appropriate item. I thanked him and he thanked me for shopping at Heinen’s. The man that served me in the deli was very nice as well. The checkout lady topped off my shopping experience with a very upbeat personality. All in all, it was the nicest grocery shopping experience I have had. I’m just sorry it took me so long to make the switch!

Oh, how I wish we had a Heinen’s Grocery Store in Ytown. We love Heinen’s & anytime we are visiting or staying nearby one, we have to go & shop. They are absolutely irresistible.
This particular store in Rocky River is immaculately clean & had so many specialty items that I can only imagine that every Chef in town must shop here. We just loved the goodies we picked up from here. We love that you could fill your own bottles with their flavored olive oils. We did try those F-Bombs and they were delicious. Every Heinen store we have visited is over the top with the items that they offer. I will say this, it’s a higher end grocery store but well worth it!

Today I totally woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and decided to go shopping at 8am to avoid all humans! What started off as a very bad day, ended up being one of the best days of my life! It all started with a question about Parmesan cheese lol!!! A wonderful woman by the name of Kelly was so kind to me and answered all of my questions!! Kelly is literally a ball of energy, she is such an amazing woman, and I am so blessed to have met her today. She is kind, funny, helpful, empathetic, compassionate, and overall just appears to be a really good person!
Overall, All of my experiences here have been positive, and honestly not to sound cliché lol, but shopping there kind of feels like family when you’re there multiple times a week!!
Thank you to all the staff that work here, and thank you Kelly so much for lifting me up, just by being kind!!! You made me so comfortable I shopped for the first time without the Ray Ban lol!!

Heinens has been a favorite grocery store for decades. Lots of great choices, the produce, meats, and cheeses are fresh, and the bakery is quite good. Prices are unsurprisingly high, though, somewhat diminishing the experience.

It feels as though the bakery has become more of a frozen dessert store. Whenever we purchase something there with anticipation of enjoying it at home, like tiramisu or fruit tart, it's always frozen. It makes me wonder if they even bake anything fresh in-store anymore, as the quality seems to have significantly declined. If we want something fresh we are avoiding this store from now on.

It was busy this morning with people and families preparing for a St. Patrick's Day meal, a party, and the week ahead. Spied 2 people quietly hanging in pickles and coffee reading texts. Where's the book nook? ? #ease #comfort

Avoid the new you scan at all costs. It's obnoxious, if you even slightly move anything on the scale while bagging it calls the associate over. It doesnt register scans. Even after bagging and ringing everything out correctly it called the associate over during payment to scan our whole list and the employee had to search our entire bag , putting his hands on all our food (gross, it's flu season). I felt like I was being treated like a criminal for simply trying to ring out groceries. If you're this worried about people stealing, just send people through the regular checkouts.
