I’m not a mean spirited person, but I can hardly express how disappointed I was in the cabin. To start with the drive up to the cabin is ridiculous, without all wheel drive it would be difficult. I’m fine with rustic, but dirty is something else. They place is in disrepair and just felt dirty. No wifi was a problem also. I have stayed at many places in the area that had comparable price, but this fell way short. I big disappointment.

The Hemlock...To start with the incline to get to the cabin was ridiculous, gravel, steep, very narrow with a lot of holes from people spinning out to get up the incline, we had to push the car up the incline. Not to mention the turn into the drive ugh. They charged way too much extra for a 2 year old our bill ended up being $757 for 2 nights. The hot tub water smelled moldy, floors where not level the whole place leaned. No WiFi. We arrived right before 3, as that is check in time.she was nasty and said you’re not supposed to be here till 6, we stayed anyways. It was quiet and peaceful but that is the only plus that’s why I rated it a 2. We would not recommend this place

NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!! Location and how well kept the cabin is. Fully stocked just bring your food and personal items. Peaceful and relaxing inside and out. The owners definitely take care of what they have. This was our 2nd time and will definitely be back.

Absolutely perfect get away. Nice.. private... secluded hill side cabin. Fully stocked kitchen including gas grill on back deck. The Whip- Poor- Will cabin has everything you need. Nice hot tub, gas fire place. So much character for a small cabin. Will definitely be back. The owner takes pride in what they have. Thank you for a much needed get away.

The cabin was rustic but adequate, clean and very well stocked! The floors do slant a bit, but it is on a huge hill. That is the issue…you must have 4x4 to get there. I tried an AWD vehicle in great weather and barely made it up the hill. I did not stay the second night I already paid for, because it was to rain and I was afraid of sliding down the hill! Do not book the Hemlock without a 4x4 vehicle!

The cabin was overpriced for what you go. When you first walk in the whole cabin leans to the left. The Jacuzzi is outdated and was not in good working condition. Spent over a half hour on the phone with the owner who had to walk me through trying to get the jacuzzi to heat up and out of economy mode. With that being said did not get to use the jacuzzi until 11:30 at night when it finally heated up. The owner swore she would make it right and compensate me for the jacuzzi. We left the next day, cleaned up the cabin and left no issues. And to my surprise I get a voicemail from the owner talked about how trashed we left the cabin which was completely false so she charged my card an extra 100 dollars to pay for her to have an extra cleaning person to come in to get the cabin ready in time for the next tennet. However I looked on the website and the cabin was not even booked for that day. There was no fire wood. Did not get to use the fire pit at all. All around poor ownership. Never signed a contract so I was charged extra illegally. I would highly not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be back.

We stayed here for our anniversary and enjoyed the weekend immensely. There were a lot of little personal touches in the cabin. We really felt like we were out in the wilderness and not in a commercialized area. The view was beautiful and the whip poor will looked down upon a running creek. The cabin was very quaint and clean and felt like home. Would highly recommend turtle Hill!

Affordable and super private. You can tell it is privately owned in their cleanlines and attention to detail.

We have now stayed in BOTH cabins. Love the quiet, serene location. They both have awesome and clean hot tubs and the cabins are clean, well decorated, and stocked with your needs. The owners are very responsive. Bring your own food and personals and you are set! Love staying with both Turtle Hill cabins!

Just left here today. Wonderful 2 day getaway. All you need is your clothes and your food. Many personable things you wouldn't think you need, until you need them. For example, an umbrella for grilling in the rain! Truly enjoyed everything!! Hope to come again.
