“Brock did a great job salvaging a bad situation created by Floor & Decor policy. I received an order confirmation and went to the store to pick up over $7,000 of flooring. Brock's manager and the Floor and Decor customer support team would not allow him to release the order, even after we verified the charge on my card and with the order confirmation email. We even had the order on my truck and they made him take it off....never in my life have I been a part of such poorly crafted policy and procedures.But Brock followed up with me several times, repairing the situation and saving the deal...I was shopping elsewhere and preparing to cancel my order with F&D until Brock saved the day. Broc 5 stars. F&D zero stars.”

“Updated review- Janet from Distinctive (Manager of sales I believe) was prompt to reach out to me after reading my review and was extremely pleasant to work with. She expressed her apologies for all we had dealt with, offered us compensation for our troubles, and even more than that- a reasonable solution… beautiful countertops in a prompt timeframe. Our countertops were installed today and the crew showed up when they said they’d be there and did a wonderful job. We are so glad we were able to get our original choice of countertop and we can’t wait to move into our house. Thank you Janet for making this possible! I wish everyone from your sales team was as easy to work with as you were. ?

To say this place was a nightmare to deal with is an understatement. I will never, and won’t ever recommend anyone I know to use this business. Our project started with this company on June 13th, 2024. We picked out our countertops through our cabinet company they work closely with. We were very excited, we loved the countertops we picked out. Flash forward to 3 weeks before the expected move-in date of our new home. Distinctive surfaces comes out to template for our countertops on a Tuesday. The following Monday they call and say the countertops we picked out in June (mind you, it’s early September now) are back ordered now and stuck on a ship somewhere. They advise me to come to their store and pick out a similar product they HAVE AVAILABLE. I drive myself over an hour there, agree to the change and they “get it ordered.” This was a Friday. The following Monday. Now another week delayed, they call again, saying this product (that was just available) is ALSO delayed. Could be two weeks, could be two months. They aren’t sure how long it will be. Again, this is the ONLY thing keeping us from moving into our house. So to speed process up we are backed into corner to either change to different company which will likely delay us more time, or choose ANOTHER different product. So we choose another product. Third countertop. This time, it’s a $2,500 up charge for us. Originally almost $3,500, they agreed to cover a percent of the up-charge. However, they told us they had it in-stock, in Cleveland (3 hours from us) and could get it ASAP and install it, so despite all the horrible gut feelings I had to get the hell out of this situation we pulled the plug to do it and be done with it. Flash forward a week and a half, they send us spec sheet for the cut, tell us an install date (another week out totaling for a month from template date), and we receive a call saying this said product is, GUESS WHAT, also stuck in a boat somewhere and they don’t know when they will get it?! How did it get on a boat from Cleveland to Columbus? Did they ever have it? Who knows. Regardless we are currently on our way to Creative Countertops in Englewood where they have 7 slabs of our original pick countertop available and will be installing in 2 weeks! So glad we left this disastrous company and all they stand for. Do yourself a favor and do not give them your business. This place is a joke.”

He could of easily processed my order as is but took the effort to call me and confirm the right part I was looking for. Hats off to Tony for knowing your job and looking for the customer. “I was very pleased with my recent Granite installation from J and R. The builder of my new home provided countertops for the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry, but I had California Closets build in my pantry, mudroom and closet cabinets. I got a price from my builder's contractor to install the additional Granite countertops on these cabinets and the quote was significantly higher than the price from J and R. And as it turned out, the quality of J and R's installation work was better as well. J and R worked to meet my schedule and I couldn't have been more pleased with the end result. Highly recommend J and R.”

“Brace yourself--this place is huge!! They MUST have the largest selection of pots for plants, outdoor pillows, indoor pillows, ceramicware and rugs I have ever seen?! To be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed and was zigzagging the place out of any logical order and missed entire sections! Lots of unique stuff, too!! The checkout process was flawless and the cashier clearly believes in the rewards program bc she wasn't just repeating it, she nailed it!! I WILL be back!! Ample parking and nice carts, too!”

“We got our kitchen cabinets from Sims Lohman as that was who our builder used 7 years ago. Our bathroom cabinets, granite peninsula, kitchen sink, and bathroom counters are also from them. The base molding in the kitchen needed touched up but the touch up kits that they had given us was dried out. I called and askedPage if we could purchase. She was so helpful. This color was discontinued but she found one left and said that we could just have it. Now that's great customer service.”

“My wife and I attended a cooking class here and had a blast! The instructors were patient, friendly, and very hands-on, which made the whole experience feel rewarding. Meeting other participants added to the fun and enjoyment of the class.However, one suggestion I have is to consider adding chairs. It was a bit uncomfortable to eat while standing, especially for taller individuals like myself. Overall, though, we had a great time and would recommend the class to others!”
