CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS HOSPITAL PHARMACY IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND IS RUN BY COMPLETE INEPT JERKS. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY - INSTEAD, GO TO YOUR LOCAL FAMILY PHARMACY WHERE YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING. THE PEOPLE AT THE HOSPITAL PHARMCY SUCK AND ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE FIRED.

Both the front nurse and the doctor Completely and totally dismissed my daughter and her pain , and where it was , and how severe it was , They basically didn't listen to her or me acted like she either was constipated or had a hemorrhoid well a few hours later after a Cat scan ( which the doctor told her an X-ray she said wouldn't they do a cat scan he was like NO , I think in know my job it will be an xRay ) revealed a Ovarian Cyst that had ruptured , no wonder she had has so much pain they were still rude andDismissive after all this and forgotHer medical excuse for both college and Work which we are currently waiting on in an email . Although they did find the issue and we are going to a specialist for further testing and follow up treatment not one person had any decent bedside manner here or empathy or even respect and I would go anywhere else before I'd go back to this place .

My level of care has been very good , when you can get it . Ive had the same Dr for 20 years, since UH took over getting in to see the queen of England is easier and she's dead . My cardiologist wants me to see a specialist urgently from Labor Day can't get in until December . Called 2 days ago because of fast pulse issue called me back said someone will call to set up appt. When? sick , see you in 3 to 4 months and feel free to pay the $100 deductible to the ER or a quick response . Your losing touch with patient care . I realize I'm not the only patient but seeing your Dr has become some sort of privilege? Interested to know how the Doctors feel about this issue and by reading all reviews it's a problem. How about losing the attitudes at central appointment when we call. Customer service with a smile . Your surgical staff has been amazing as well as your doctors but your business end sux!

Took my husband to Portage Emergency Room this evening. We were pleasantly surprised with the staff and treatment there. We encountered compassionate folks all the way down the line, from intake to the nurse who walked with me to help me find food in the after-hours cafeteria. It was very busy and yet everyone was kind. It renewed my faith in my hospital!

*** MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS, BEWARE!!! ***Long review, but please read if you are experiencing any kind of mental health crisis or seeking care for suicidal ideation, and DO NOT GO HERE. I cannot stress this enough. They may attempt to illegally involuntarily commit you! This happened to me one evening at this hospital. I was pink-slipped for suicidality over what everyone involved characterizes as a misunderstanding (i.e., not a suicide attempt). After waiting in their office for about four hours with no fluids, they took me to see a virtual psychiatrist who talked to me for about 10 minutes about my mental health history, my medications, how I was feeling, my history of suicidality, etc. He did NOT administer any standardized suicide assessment such as the C-SSRS (a measure of risk for suicidality) during this interview. I never expressed a wish to harm myself. I was future oriented, and I identified a robust support system and an external mental health team, as well as reasons to live.Later, I was informed that I was to be involuntarily committed because I had admitted to having severe depression and had life stressors coming up and needed coping tools - Mind you, severe depression and life stressors is NOT a legal reason to civily commit someone in Ohio. After sobbing and begging a Dr, who continually rolled his eyes at me while I explained the devastating impact this would have on my life, we finally got the him to go back to the psych team and explain that the call itself was a misunderstanding, I do have severe depression, but I am under regular care of a psychiatrist (which I told the one who asked), and that I am of no imminent risk of serious physical harm to myself. He also mentioned speaking to a family member as support for his claim. None of my family members spoke with any doctors, and the women who I was sharing a room with said they did the same to her.The attending eventually leaves and, in the meantime, I look up the Ohio laws for civil commitment and contact my lawyer. When the attending came back, I read the law and had him speak to my lawyer while recording the conversation on my computer. Only then was he willing to go back to the treatment team and "reconsider." My entire family was in the waiting room to support me being released at this point. About five minutes later, they released me. Seeking treatment at this hospital was absolutely a detriment to my mental health, and I caution anyone seeking help for theirs from setting food inside their doors. If you do end up in this hospital for suicidality or self-harm related reasons, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS, and know they will lie to you about speaking with your family. Look up the Ohio law for civil commitment (it is a very high standard), and tell them you wish to speak to a lawyer and your next of kin (they obviously won't tell you this, but you have the right to ask for both of these things).Best of luck to anyone out there struggling.Lastly, I'd be nice if their crisis staff weren't some of the rudest, least-compassionate people I've ever met, but I'm just glad I finally got away from all of them.

My mom was taken in due to major leg bleeding, she suffers with melanoma cancer which has left tumors all on her leg leaving her in horrible pain. The 9p nurse Tuesday May 31st refused to give my mom medication, unplugged her bed so she couldn't hit her call light, THATS A RIGHTS VIOLATION!! & wouldn't give her pillows for leg AND HAD MY DAD GO TO THE CAR TO GET THE ONES HE BROUGHT? I want her name, I want to know how she takes care of her own mother. This is UNREAL that my mother received such HORRIBLE care. Is this how all of your nurses treat your patients? You take their rights away and refuse medication to patients who are suffering horrible pain? Your nurses need a lesson on hospitality.

If I could give zero stars I would. Not only did the wait take forever (but give lenience due to COVID), but there was a woman in excruciating pain and throwing up in the waiting room for hours!!! Then, after FINALLY being treated, everyone had to wait even longer for results. In addition to the unbearable waiting periods, the triage lady would scream at the top of her lungs for patients to come and directly at them! I give respect to the doctors and nurses during these times and I won't judge too harshly, but there needs to be a better admittance system for sure.

First visit to University Hospital in Ravenna. I was quite impressed with the hospitality of staff and the Hospital's ambiance, which was quite pleasant and spacious with lots of comfortable seating in various areas adorned with pleasant decor and lots of flat-screen TV's. I was registered for my x-ray by receptionist, Jennifer.... who was so friendly and welcoming! In Radiology, Allyson, who was very professional, friendly, helpful and thorough, is a true asset to University Hospital. #SatisfiedCustomer
