“I always go here for OTC prescriptions. The staff is great, attentive, and always helpful in my pharmaceutical needs. I’ve gone here when I was sick and received exemplary care and I even got both of my Covid shots here. If you’re looking for a pharmacy that is quick, professional, and looking for a good experience, I’d highly recommend going here. Cant recommend them enough!”

“Having to take prescription medication is necessary, sometimes, and insurance can be a tricky game. The folks at Staker’s are very helpful when trying to navigate the insurance mess. Sometimes, it’s more affordable to simply pay cash, especially for generic equivalents. Great, personalized service with a smile (and sometimes by people you already know)! Keep your prescription business, local. Drive that extra block, pass up the national chain on the corner, compare prices, and you’ll find that Staker’s will usually offer competitive prices with service the others can’t match.”

“Kroger management and their employees are great. I live across the bridge and I do my grocery shopping there. If you need anything someone at the self checkout will get someone for you. Or someone is usually standing behind the checkout lines who can help. The pharmacy is great also !”

“Fast and friendly. They greet me by name every time I visit. Very knowledgeable staff. I was waiting 20 minutes at the big chains just to drop off my script and another 1-2 hours to get it filled. At Smiths I'm done and out the door in 15 minutes. I'd still be in the drop off line at the chain. Nice clean space with unique interesting gifts as well. They deliver for free when I can't get out. Prices are 30% better than the chains.”

“This is a huge Kroger! The employees are always working very diligently and always very nice and helpful. However, I think possibly because we MAY have a FEW less than savory customers in our area, the store itself always looks “rode hard and put away wet,” with dingy floors and random stinky odors. The restrooms are really run down, often dirty and stink like an old barn. Shopping carts are often strewn all over the parking lot. Anytime the store gets busy, you better find your own cart somewhere out in the lot. The inside of the front entry is often cruddy looking too. Maybe if it were filled up with carts, we wouldn’t see that as easily. Anyway, this is a mostly good store with good people working inside. I just think the hotsie totsies higher up in the company need to pay better attention. Don’t blame the people that are there. Let go of a few dollars and hire some more help to keep things tidy. I mean, Kroger prices are high enough, I think we should be able to expect a clean store. A manager recently gave me the sob story of “we can’t find people to work.” I’ll just never completely believe that.”

“Never have my routine meds in stock, won’t call to tell me they need to even order them. Just seems they need more workers and it’s not the teams fault either! I would have went to another pharmacy. Insulin is very important! However the staff and everyone are very kind at this location!”

“Very helpful and they will cater to your needs. What I don't like is they made me feel like I was a bother to them. I switched to Gahms Pharmacy on west Portsmouth. They make me feel at home, they fill all my prescriptions extremely quick and they are very friendly.”

“Kroger here in Portsmouth has friendly staff. The staff here are always helpful and manage to keep everything stocked. The gas prices are good. It may be a little hard to find a parking spot though.”

“I love cvs but the one in downtown Portsmouth ohio is nice even thought the one curly haired blonde manager is very rude and acts as though some one is wrong for shopping and taking time to decide what they are going to buy and follows me throughout the store but if I asked where something is she has ignored me until she thinks I'm taking to much time shopping "the way me and quite a few others at different trips with me shopping have been treated " then abruptly and rudely says exactly where. They Isle is as I begin to uncofotably make my way to checkout with her on my heels without even asking if we needed any help other then that specific manager all the other employees seem to be very help and pleasant but also seem to feel uncomfortable with this specific managers actions of rude service and I feel like all the other stores are employees are wonderful and pleasant”
