If you are looking to get your propane tank filled, this company is happy to help. If you need to discuss an issue with regards to the meter on your tank, forget about a person to speak with. Just spend your valuable time typing out the problem and then nothing really happens. Fill out the survey with a bad rating to try for a response, you get a call from 866 area code out of the blue. You don't answer it because of so many spam calls. It turns out to be Amerigas and that was their effort to reach you. All we want is to determine why our meter is faulty again (remote meter). The driver is the only customer service-oriented person we have dealt with.

A couple of months ago I tried to go to the on-line acct to see when my next delivery was scheduled. The help text gives a detailed explanation on how to do that, but it did not match the look of the site, therefore I could not find it. I contacted Chat Support to ask how to do it. After a long wait, I was connected, but the person could not answer the question of where to find it on the site...they could only answer when the delivery was scheduled.
This brought up another problem...I had requested a 4-week delivery schedule several times (previously), but it was still at a 9-week delivery schedule. This support person DID now successfully make that delivery schedule change (4 weeks later - 2 weeks ago now), the delivery was made. I am assuming we will get another delivery 4 weeks after that, but I still cannot find that on my on-line account (give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime...).
2 stars = finally got my delivery schedule fixed, but it was pretty painful to get there!

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Everything has a fee, and Amerigas does not do what they say. Hard to get things accomplished, everything is outsourced to the Philippines. I am not criticizing the employees, I’m putting the blame on Amerigas and the upper management. Delegating authority does not relinquish responsibility. Not sure who is responsible for day to day operations, I got a different answer or response every time I called.

I’ve been sent multiple survey requests for the same transaction. Still absolutely, completely terrible. I was overcharged for a propane delivery, getting more propane than ordered. I’ve requested call backs, but was only threatened with late fees for not paying the total delivery that I didn’t ask for.
Miserable propane company.
As for your disclaimer, about using this statement for advertising purposes? Please do.

The service was great but the $250 rebate was a bad , when I tried to use it , it was declined. Someone else took all of it. I don't know but I think it was a scam....

I can't believe the shotty workman ship there contractors did at my mothers house.The gas line runs exposed away from the tank into the the yard just waiting for the lawn guy to hit it. They kinked the line running into the house. Just poor workman ship all around.

the propane cost you charged me is nearly double the cost of propane listed locally. My shows a cost of over $4 per gallon but the Ohio Residential Propane Price shows the cost is up 0.23% from last week and should currently be $2.668 per gallon.

I was quoted a promotional price when I ordered my residential delivery. Upon getting my invoice it was not the price quoted. ($450 difference). It took me 3 phones calls after being cut off and 90 minutes on the phone before finally a supervisor listened to the original order call and gave me the quoted price. I’m not sure I’d recommend Amerigas to any of my friends. Get rid of your call center and bring back your local customer service. Only then when talking to a local supervisor was my issue resolved.

The driver put a giant rut all the way down the side of our driveway with the delivery truck. The representatives have been refusing to answer questions or phone calls. And we have been unable to solve the problem.

Why do you keep delivering small amount of propane every few weeks? The charges or fees on those deliveries add up. Customer service is non existent. I would like to speak with a representative from our local provider, not someone in another country. Call me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Amerigas! Have had several conversations and the customer service has answered my questions. Although I haven’t agreed with everything my question were answered.
