The staff at this Kroger Pharmacy, Hill Rd Pickerington are incompetent, rude, and slow at filling prescriptions. Be careful because the techs that answer the phone will claim to be the actual pharmacist. That happened to me on 10/27/23. Managers at this pharmacy need to review the phone conversations if they do record. They get 0 stars but require you to light up at least one star and I moved my seven prescriptions to another pharmacy.

I shop at the Kroger on 256 near Refugee Rd, There's a Giant Eagle right across the street and I used to shop there. The prices are about the same and so is the service. But what gives Kroger a leg up on Giant Eagle is that Kroger has a State Liquor store in their location.

I’ve used this pharmacy for over 4 years. I’ve always had great service up u til my last two visits. I called in last night to see if my prescriptions were ready and the lady that answered the phone unsure of her name seemed either highly stressed or just plain over whelmed. My prescriptions have always been filled in a reasonable time without me having to call in and ask. Last night I was informed I need to call in now and make sure they are ready but that they were so behind she couldn’t guarantee they would be ready even in 2.5 hours. Stated she had over 100 prescriptions waiting to be filled, over 25 people in line, one pharmacist giving Covid vaccines and and another tech assisting the pharmacist and if not tonight I could go back in between 8-9 this am to grab them as they would be doing vaccines again this am. I’m not sure who does the scheduling here but seems these healthcare workers need some help back there. In addition I stopped in this am only to be met with one tech in the pharmacy who didn’t even acknowledge the fact that I was standing there but knew I was as I got the side eye from her. If you’re licensed help this pharmacy out they need help OR better scheduling apparently.

I thought the Giant Eagle in Groveport was bad regarding people not wearing face masks, but the Kroger in Pickerington off Refugee Road is easily the worst place I have been in since the pandemic began. Easily over half the customers did not wear masks. We almost left before finishing shopping but decided to hurry, pay quickly, and leave. The store has signs about wearing masks, and I heard an announcement about wearing masks, but there is no enforcement. The cashier told us only the manager can say anything about masks to customers; from what we saw s/he was not doing anything about masks (which we understand, given how irrational some people are about not protecting themselves and others). Despite having professional appointments nearby, we will not be going there again.

Let's make this as simple as possible. I shop here often because it's close. But here are it's strengths and weaknesses: STRENGTHS -- They have a decent selection of ethnic choices. -- They've set up a pretty comfortable waiting area for the clinic and pharm. -- Pretty decent meat department...not too many complaints. -- They are priced competitively. WEAKNESSES -- Understaffed. But so is everybody. -- They fail to check on expiration dates regularly. -- They tend to miss depleted stock when they reorder. -- Let's stop relying so much on those newfangled self-checkouts, folks...some of us are old and in pain. -- You guys need to appoint a really strict Catholic nun armed with a big paddle to patrol the produce section, checking for rotten and moldy product. ...Oh...and give Duane a big raise before he retires, dammit.

We haven't been shopping at a grocery store in a while and it was nice to get back into the action. As we walked in the employees had segregated the clean carts from the used carts. They had fully sanitized the carts ready to go and that was pretty awesome to see. The store was stocked ok but they were missing some fairly common items. I would think that by now most of the items would be back, but what are you going to do. Once we gathered all of the items we headed to the checkout and it was nice to see that they were freshly cleaned as well. We saw the lady managing the self checkout cleaning as people left the station so we were sure that we would be safe to utilize the touch screen and credit card reader. Overall it was a great experience and we are pumped to get back in on the action!
