I think the service department took my car for a joyride! After the oil change, there was a 22 mile difference in the odometer and on the receipt. I got in, the seat was all messed up, there was grease all over the door, steering wheel, and center console! Ridiculous!

Chris kitchens was my sales guy. Overall super pushy with adding programs like maintenance, Warranties, tech program etc. Even after explaining why i dont want them. He would then go the route of who wants to pay for there oil change. Guilt trip. Umm i do and i live 1 hour and 30 mintues away so no for the 3 time i will do my maintenance in my local town. He had taken my plate off my car and put a temp tag on my new car before I even seen or heard I was approved and for what amount. I was about to blow my top. Chris was eager to finish the deal before closing time. Well mind you we spent 6 hours there waiting on him to give us the final numbers. He would leave and come back with more programs he trying to add. We spent most of the time saying no. Lucky after carefully reading the final paperwork. I was okay with the deal. Later he called and requested I call Westlake financial. I asked why I've never heard of that company. Wasn't a company I've ever did business with. He says just do it please. Okay yyyy. Well after mucking around with them I firgured it out. He had connected the wrong customer. I Let him know and he never apologize. Just yeah I got the wrong number. I wouldn't recommend chris as your sales guy. I asked about the car and his response was yeah it should I wouldn't see why not. Brand new car simple question of can you turn the lane assistant off. He didn't know for sure.

I'm very please with not only the sales Staff the after care service I've gotten also.ive bought 2 vehicles from them in 2023 both used both in great shape as advertised there where no surprises. I will work with them again when my Wife's vehicle lease is up.

Chris Kitchens is an awesome salesman! My car was totaled in an accident, and I loved my past Jetta. Chris came out to the car lot right away and was so sincere about the situation I was in. As a college student, I have a very tight budget but was in need of a good reliable car. Chris worked with me for hours working through numbers, budgeting, and getting me into a practically new Jetta! He worked hard for me, and I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome, or with my new car!!

My experience with Chris was exceptional. Despite the high demand for the model we were interested in and the low inventory, he managed to provide us with viable options. His friendly and accommodating nature, especially towards our 3-month-old baby in the showroom, was truly commendable. The entire team at VW has been a pleasure to deal with.
Why not 5 stars?
I had a few surprises after the purchase.
1) The service department didn’t put on the valve stem caps after prepping the car for delivery. I purchased the additional service plan/warranty for the loan’s life. This introduction to the service department was a disappointing oversight (it’s not about $2.00 for caps; it’s about something so obvious and simple that it was missed). It’s not the best introduction to years of service after spending another $4200 on the service plan/warranty.
2) Maybe I’m old school, but I expected the car to be delivered with a full tank of fuel, especially when spending over $40K on a car. I brought up this issue, but I was informed their policy is not to offer this gesture if the fuel indicator is over half.
3) The detailer/dealer left the prior owner’s license plate in the hatch window, which leads me to believe the detail wasn’t as thorough as it should have been. They were trying to hurry to deliver the car to me, but I told Chris we were OK with waiting - I’d rather it be a good job than a fast job.
These things caused me to lower my score. I’m eager to discuss these issues with VW/Perrysburg Auto Mall to resolve them and ensure a positive experience for future customers.
