I don’t usually write reviews but I had a bad experience and I feel like others need to know how I was treated.
I bought a Groupon here for a wash, blowdry, and hairstyle. I don’t ever get my hair done and was going to a bridal shower that afternoon, so I was really excited about having my hair look nice. I called a week in advance to make an appointment after I bought the Groupon and asked the lady on the phone if I could have my hair styled up (updo) since it was June and hot outside. She said yes.
Upon arrival the woman doing my hair asked what I wanted done so I showed her a picture of how I wanted it styled up. I told her I had a Groupon. She was really sweet. She washed and blow dried my hair and was beginning to start my hairstyle.
Then suddenly 2 other employees came up to me and questioned me. They told me I could not get my hair styled up and said I wasn’t booked for an updo. I explained that I asked to have my hair put up for my style when I made the appointment and was told that was ok.
They started bullying me and became very mean and aggressive. They told me they were going to call the owner. They told me a hairstyle was when someone blowdrys your hair. I said I had a Groupon for a wash blowdry and hair style and that it was indicated as 3 separate services. Im sorry, but getting your hair blow dried is not a hairstyle.
They made me feel horrible. I did my due diligence by asking about an updo when I made my appointment. A hairstyle should be anything the client wants, that’s what any normal person who does not work in hair would assume. I’m not responsible for scheduling mistakes, or the salon not communicating what constitutes as a hairstyle, and I def should not be yelled at and bullied when I did nothing wrong.
They were really rude and the young lady who was doing my hair kept apologizing and had no idea what was happening. Poor thing was caught in the middle. She curled my hair for me instead, but ultimately I left without an updo and felt disrespected and treated like a criminal.
I will never go back.
