Bought a plumbing fitting, didn't need it. Tried to return it, with no receipt, but asked for a store credit. They refused. Rudely pointed at some sign. The fitting was new, still in ace packaging. Basically they called me a liar. I am a contractor. I've been using this ace for the past year because even with their price gouging it was convenient. Not any longer. You lost a loyal customer over a couple dollars. I'll tell everyone I know. Home depot here I come again. Miss me??? Lol

For my line of work, I purchased quite a bit from Ace hardware. Spent all kinds of money at this location and they don’t even have the courtesy of allowing you to use the restroom briefly. I will not be spending any more money at this location. He told me they don’t have a restroom. I find that pretty hard to believe.

I had an online pickup, went to get it, and the store couldn’t give it to me (system issues?) I don’t have unlimited time to spend 40 minutes driving there and back, so I asked for it to be shipped to me. They said they’d “get back to me”… and cancelled the order a week later. I’ve never really shopped at ace and I definitely won’t again. They clearly didn’t care about the importance of the items I expressed.

Only “Ron” the store GM is able to do returns. It doesn’t matter that the employees remember me, it didn’t matter I had proof of purchase via credit card. They can not look up purchases by credit cards. How many times have you ever been asked if you have the credit card you bought the merchandise on? Every-time, that’s why we use credit cards. So the staff is either incompetent or lazy. Even that I used my business card to make the purchase, showed the time and date of the purchase and the dollar amount, I was still treated like I was a criminal who had stolen the tool. So now I have to make a second trip out, to see “ron” because he is the only person who can look up the purchase. BTW did I mention the tool that was incorrectly bought was because they did not carry a glass cutting tool. So I tried to make do, it didn’t work.

The store itself is pretty nice, however, the staff at this location is not only unhelpful, but very unprofessional and extremely rude as well. The female manager is a nightmare to deal with and her energy is truly awful. I want to be able to shop here more but I'll be going back to Lowe's or Home Depot just so I don't have to deal with this staff.

Helpful place, but there needs to be some training for employees how to use the color match scanner in the paint department, apparently there is only one employee who knows how to use it. You are out of luck if he’s not there.

Was in there this morning had a small plumbing project to do a gentleman named Tom gave me a hand made sure I had everything I needed. You don't get that kind of service at the big stores.

Went in and asked for some help finding a few screws, washers and nuts for a table I needed to get replacement hardware for and was told by two older guys that I'd be here for hours trying to find that and they couldn't help. It was 6pm and the one guy kept saying "we close at 8."Not great and everything is so expensive.

Big box hardware stores are way too big for me but Ace is just right! I looked everywhere from Joann’s to DrugMart for peg board. Not only did they have it but they were kind enough to cut it too. The Parma store also has the most amazing selection of grilling products and accessories. They have some unexpected treasures too from gardening to housewares. Employees are knowledgeable and kind every time!

I've been to 4 Ace Hardware stores this summer....This store at Parma Shoppes was the best of all. Service! Staff to discuss projects! Screen replacement is top notch! and there is a thoroughly stocked home area with lots of fun stuff to buy.

Wow everyone here is knowledgeable and eager to help. I get all of my BBQ supplies here and they even have a window and door expert up front who with a 5 minute phone call saved me thousands on my beautiful new windows and doors. I love this place!

Much better than any of the big boxes. You are able to find someone that can actually answer a question.

This place is so much more convenient than the big stores and they always have everything I need plus I don't have to look for an employee to help me.

what's always separated Ace hardware from Home Depot and Lowe's was the fabulous customer service. I am disappointed to say you will not find that customer service at the Parma location. Today I went in for a bag of sand for my pool filter. I passed several big box retailers on the way but I wanted to give Ace my business and they showed pool sand in stock online. I just left the store this morning. I was one of two customers walking around and it was very low-key. I did not see any pool sand in the aisle so I approached the customer service desk. When I asked the manager if they had pool sand he told me if they did it would be in the aisle. I explained to him that there was no sand in the aisle but I had seen it online as being in stock. His response was don't believe everything online. I can't help you. I was very taken back at how rude he was and how he did not attempt to help in any way. It was very disappointing because this is the one retailer that over the years has been consistently customer focused. I drove 20 minutes out of my way and now I guess I'll drive 20 minutes more to go to a big box retailer. My Hope is that someone in management will see this and address this issue.
