If you cannot answer questions after a diagnostic please don't do them. I wanted a better understanding of my diagnostic you did not need to be a mechanic for my questions. Both of the boys working were unprofessional and did not know how to treat a female who just had some questions about her vehicle. Repeating I am not a mechanic does not make it okay for you sir please do not work at AutoZone if you do not know how to answer questions about vehicles point blank!!!!

Got a new battery as my light came on yesterday. Battery was installed and as I pull into work this next morning my car's power steering went out and luckily I was able to find a spot quickly and park. Lifted the hood and found that the connection was very loose and now I am stuck needing to call parking services to come tighten my connection and jump me.
Update: neither the positive or negative were tightened at all and now my alternator is bad

I came here to return a magnetic engine oil drain plug as it was no longer the one I wanted and to exchange it for a different type. When I mentioned that I would locate it from the shelf, the employee followed me (I prefer not to be followed unless I ask for help, which I'll explain in a moment). As we reached the oil bolts, I found them myself despite the employee searching the opposite side and seeing multiple similar options. I was about to use my phone to find the correct item number to ensure it fits when the employee mentioned, 'the only difference is one is longer.' However, after changing my oil, I discovered that the difference was not just in length but also in the space between the threads on the screw ?, indicating it didn't fit – even confirmed on the AutoZone website. Their guidance led me to pick the wrong one, and using my phone would have prevented this issue. Thankfully, I refrained from forcing the screw in; otherwise, it would have damaged my oil pan! It's frustrating as this could have been easily avoided. I should have known better, considering that employees in car stores are often learning as they go.
