We drove up from Akron/Springfield. We were supposed to be there the day after but we were in the neighborhood, so I called Barry and he was bringing a car to the lot. He met us and even though he was very busy picking up more cars that day he took all the time we needed to check out the car, and we purchased it. He and his son were extremely good to work with on our deal. We are very happy with our purchase. Great people. Great dealer. God bless!

I had a perfect experience buying my truck from The Auto Stop. I filled out a request on AutoTrader to get contacted, even after their business hours. To my surprise, Barry (the owner) called me within 5 minutes. He continued to be responsive and helpful throughout the process. Tag and titling was super smooth.
Before I knew that this dealership was trustworthy and honest, I was nervous because I put a deposit on my truck sight unseen (I was a few hours away), just relying on the photos of the truck from the website. Barry sent me dozens of high quality photos of the smallest imperfections on the truck (as I requested), so that I had a realistic idea of the trucks condition. When I arrived, the truck was EXACTLY as described; which far exceeded my expectations. Many other dealers will overstate the condition of the vehicle, and you end up going to visit cars described as "like new" but in reality are far from. With Barry and the Auto Stop, he exactly described and showed me the condition, so that I had total confidence in my decision. Even living hours away, I felt comfortable in my purchase because of Barry's responsiveness and willingness to help. The truck drove perfectly too.
As a professional detailer of 7 years, I was incredibly picky about my truck choice and could not be happier with the service of this dealership, the condition of the truck, and the friendliness of Barry. He is truly a pleasant person to deal with. Save yourself the headache of a big auto mall, where they try to tack on thousands of dollars of fees to the list price. My wife and I were looking around for a Ram Promaster City for her work and spotted one on marketplace @ The Auto Stop in Painesville Ohio. Inquired about the carfax and received it that night from one of the owners Rick. Based on the carfax we thought this vehicle is looking great so we traveled the 71 miles to check it out and bought it that day because it was in great condition and the test drive went very well. Dealing with Rick and Barry at The Auto Stop was easy and hassle free. Definitely worth the 71 mile travel time for a nice vehicle and a hassle free purchase. Thanks!

I’m writing this review because I was not in the market for a vehicle until I saw the high end conversion van on THE AUTO STOP lot. I pulled into the lot to investigate. Rick the owner provided all the information I requested in a professional friendly manner. One week after the purchase. Barry stayed after hours to show the vehicle during a wind storm. He even came on his day off for me to pick up the vehicle. I would drive 2 hours again to purcase a vehicle from them again.

I had a terrific experience at The Auto Stop. I was referred to Barry from a mutual friend who is also in the automotive industry. He assured me that Barry and The Auto Stop team were ethical, knowledgeable, fair and genuinely good people and he was correct. I live on the west side about an hour from the dealership. Barry brought the van I wanted closer to where I live and made it very easy for me to see, test drive and purchase it. He answered all my questions straight forward and never did I feel rushed or pressured. Rarely can I say this when making a major purchase but Barry made it a pleasant experience. Now what really separated Barry from the other dealerships was the post purchase period. For starters I received the title within a week of the purchase which I’ve never experienced before. But furthermore he stayed engaged well after I bought the van. The vehicle had some brake issues that weren’t easily noticeable until some highway rush hour driving. I brought it up to Barry and he had the issue fixed immediately at no charge to me. Most dealers would have looked the other way and let me deal with it. Needless to say next time I need a vehicle it will be from Barry and The Auto Stop team. Thanks again Barry for the excellent customer service and experience!
