I'm giving 3 stars because the vet who helped my husband was wonderful. Our cat very suddenly became ill and we saw that he chewed on a lucky bamboo plant (mildly toxic to them and caused him to throw up but he was doing everything he should) after a couple days he started to get worse and we did not know what was going on. We called our regular vet, animal poison control, an animal urgent care who recommended an emergency vet in Shaker Heights and we did not want to drive that far so looked up this place that had great reviews. Given all the people we talked to and the symptoms our cat was experiencing, he was dying and was in pain and we were just trying to take away his pain at this point. When my husband called, the woman who spoke to him was very rude and lacked any sort of empathy about what we were going through. Granted, she did not have the context of everything we had already done and everyone we had already spoken to and we had spent hours at this point calling people, re-explaining what was going on, and had already been advised on our best options. She did not know this and that's the only grace I can give her. She made a comment about us "not wanting to do anything for him" because we were seeking end of life care and a comment about how long we waited. I'm not only grieving the loss of my cat who would be 8 next month but also fielding rude comments from providers who (I thought) are supposed to be empathic to losing a pet. The vet was much more professional and provided empathy and reassurance in the decision we were advised to and chose for our cat. Although, regardless of the experience with the vet, I won't ever consider this location for services for my pets again and won't recommend them to my friends either. End of life care is, in my opinion, a critical service for a veterinarian office to get right and ensure their people understand the weight of the decision from pet owners. We are lucky the vet provided a better experience, but first impressions are long-lasting and unfortunately, our first impression will always be of the unkind, heartless woman who spoke to us like we were just trying to kill our cat.

Good people, but $81 for anal gland expression is pretty steep.

My dog was coming to this vet since he was a baby. My dog was healthy..one day my dog got a rash ans I brought him into his vet and they gave him an anti biotic and steroid..next daymy dog was real sick I called thr vet and was told they would call me bk by 3 pm and nevwr called. My dog is now dead ans where I called the receptionist stated she was the manager and that inqas told to bring my dog in which never happened. GOD DONT LIKE UGLY this vet might be cheaper but your better paying for a higher price to guarantee your dog lives. Do not go to this office as your pets only a number

I’ve taken multiple of my cats here & they treat us wonderfully each time! They’re very quick getting you in the back, thorough & always very pleasant to talk to! Their waiting area is very kept up with and clean as well ?

I have called this place twice they are very rude and the receptionist hung up on me. They advertise emergency care services and when I asked she said they don’t offer that and never have. This women was so rude if this is how they treat customers over the phone I would NEVER trust them with my family pet! Absolutely horrible! They don’t even deserve 1star but had no choice if I wanted to post this review!

I appreciate this vet so much got me in the same day, and we're very nice and supportive when I was there. (I had to have my Mama girl euthanized). Was very appreciative of the door to the parking lot. I think more vet offices should have that.

Go to Big Creek Veterinary instead (they also CALL you a DAY BEFORE your appointment). I’ve had nothing but issues with this place for the past 15 years but today was the last straw. So my dog has a Heart worm appointment next month and they refused to give me Heart worm medication in the meantime. Its clearly evident that they do not care about your dog’s wellbeing, or at least the receptionist doesn’t. I asked to speak with the Vet but she was too lazy to get up and ask for 30 seconds of his time.

They only take appointments at certain times. Staff seems super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back at some point. Also great dog park for locals.

Have been going to this office for over 20 years and you couldn't find a kinder more compassionate group of doctors and office staff. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to my babies and myself. Nicky Stafford
