βFound out about this Hardware store from a BIG BOX employee when I could not find what I wanted. He told me if they don't have what you are looking for you are out of luck. So, I gave it a try and have been back often. Great place it reminded me of the neighborhood hardware stores where I grew up.
THEY provide MANY services one of which I will be back for soon is Screen repairs.

I brought in my EGO electric power mower for repair, and Ray and Kevin were incredibly welcoming and helpful from the get-go. They wasted no time in assessing the issue and explaining what needed to be done.
What really blew me away was how quickly they got the job done. I dropped off my mower in the morning, and by the end of the day, it was fixed and ready to go! Plus, they made sure to handle everything under my warranty, which saved me a ton of hassle.

βThis is one of the better hardware stores I have been in, and that is saying something because most of the chain stores all start to feel exactly the same after a while. Same layout, same vibe, same experience. This location stands out because it is simply run better, and you can feel that the moment you walk in.

The aisles are neat, products are stocked in a way that actually makes sense, and it does not feel like you are wandering through chaos trying to find one specific part. Even when you are there for something random or very specific, it is easier to locate what you need because the store is well maintained and clearly managed with attention to detail. It sounds simple, but it makes the whole shopping trip faster and less frustrating.
The staff is another big reason I prefer this location. They are genuinely friendly and approachable, and it feels like they actually want to help rather than just point you toward an aisle and disappear. When you ask a question, you get real help, not attitude. The overall atmosphere is quiet and friendly, which is surprisingly refreshing compared to the loud, hectic feel you get in some big box stores.
I also want to mention the cleanliness because it matters. The bathrooms are clean, and the store overall feels clean and well cared for. That is usually a good reflection of how the place is managed, and it matches the rest of the experience here. Management and customer service are clearly above par. It is a little better than the other locations I have been in, mainly because it is organized, friendly, calm, and well managed. βFirst for everything. Never been in E&H. Just came here from SC visiting family and I had such an amazing experience here with Kara and Dzmetri. Outstanding customer service from these 2 employees and I mean outstanding service. Well mannered and simply delivered! I spent a while in this store and noticed the two of them working hard with answering customers concerns while handling multiple customers. Both will multitask and go from one end of the store to the other. I will be definitely let my family know here to shop at this store and I thank the 2 of you for showing how dedicated you are to your store. We need this in South Carolina! βI am a 79 year old man who carries oxygen and walks with a cane. I have shopped at your Columbia Station, North Olmsted, and Lorain locations. In all three stores I was asked and given help from purchase to the trunk of my car. Wonderful people! They asked me if I could use help. I didn't have to ask them. The people in the appliances are also always very helpful: truly everyone is. Itβs a clean store and everyone that works there is great.β
βI've ordered mulch and firewood from them. The mulch was fine. Very good quality and I'm very happy with it. The firewood came covered in mud and was very wet. Not seasoned. Further, there were many large pieces that weren't split, this is the worst firewood I've ever gotten.Edit: Kurtz called me and they made it right. I appreciate them taking accountability and doing the right thing.β
βStopped by Friday to see if they had any propane fire pits. Ben greeted me when I entered the store. I explained what was going on with my existing fire pit and Ben showed me a replacement part option that might solve the issue with my existing fire pit and save me the cost of having to buy a new fire pit. I wasnβt real comfortable with replacing the part myself and Ben suggested I could bring my fire pit in and they would replace the part for me. I came back the next morning with the fire pit. I got a call a couple hours later saying everything was all set. The fire pit is working again. Very pleased with the work they did and the money saved. The entire staff was very friendly and responsive. Job well done!β

βI purchased a riding lawn mower. The sales person, Jim Novak was very helpful and knowable about the unit.
Home depot has a 90-day satisfaction return policy.
After using it a couple time, I determined that my lawn is too hilly for a riding mower. The mower worked fine it just didn't like mowing on the side of a hill.
I called Jim and told him of my decision to return it. He was very professional, respectful, there was no challenge to my decision.
Within a couple hours he came to my home and picked up the mower. He even saw to it that my credit card was credited for the purchase. I didn't even have to come into the store.
I'll be in the market for a new mower very soon and rest assured I will be getting it from Home Depot.

βHad to have my riding mower picked up for repair. That cost was $60 dollars which I thought was high but what can you do if you have no other way to drop off. The part Needed was unavailable and had to be ordered, took like 6 weeks. Once in, Puritas fixed in about 3 days. They repaired my mower and all is good. The price was reasonable and I'd use again.β

But today I encountered a horrific issue with an online purchase.
I saw the item on line and since I had to go to the store wanted to order it there but have it sent to another person as a surprise gift.
The sales clerk told me I could do it on line on their computer but I didn't have my glasses so she assisted after I asked. After several attempts to get the information correct, she put the name and address in for the recipient. When everything was done, the system continued to go back to my home address. She stated it was because of the credit card and would have to be shipped to my home.
I can understand I had not been in the store and maybe they thought it was scammer using my credit card info but no, I was there in person.
I had the cash with me but apparently the order requires credit cards.
This will make me hesitant to order anything from the store in the future and only do in store shopping. This needs to be addressed as I am sure other people have had issues with on line ordering.β
βIβm a plumber in Missouri and had an interesting problem with a shower cartridge.
I noticed Avon lake Ohio 44012 imprinted on it. So I googled plumbing companies and active plumbing supply company popped up.
I called and talked to John Knight.
And he had me send a picture to him and then went out of his way to help me even though I am in Missouri.

βI have never seen a better set up bathroom for a store. They had a flip out stool for my 3 yr old to stand on so we could actually wash his hands. Then they had paper towels insteadof that air dryer that scares him and they had a door that pushed out so you didn't have to waste towels to open the door. Thank you so much for thinking of everyone that uses the bathroom. It was also incredibly clean!β

I have never seen such a large selection of router bits in one location... not just a few of the most commonly used, but everything produced by a few of the major makers. Even though they seem to be a specialty shop, their prices basically match what you will find online or in the big box stores.β
