This shop now carries all of the beautiful art supplies that had previously been carried at Ginko Gallery, the shop around the corner that closed. The prices are fantastic. The selection of water color pencils, ink pens, clay, paint, and art paper books is really great. I also love the unique vinyl decals by the check-out. Staff is super friendly, too!

My Oberlin kid was giving me a campus tour and we stopped in as I needed a hairbrush, face lotion, therapy tape, and some nice greeting cards and got all that, and more! Decals! I love cool vinyl decals. And a Settlers of Catan game, not kidding! The game section is fantastic! Fitness items, too! Great service. Fair prices. Checked out quickly and we were back on campus! Great location. Free street parking. Well stocked! Wow they sure do fit all the essentials in this compact shop. Love it.

This store is a gem amongst gems, a rarity in a sea of Amazons, impersonal big box and drug stores. Ben Franklin’s in Oberlin Ohio has everything from gifts to plants, stationary, soap, grooming products, toys, craft supplies, fabric, sewing, kitchen items, snacks, toys, and if that wasn’t enough, there’s a book store, and frame shop in store. This is a place to find the thing you need but didn’t know you needed. This is the place to find the hard to find items you’ve been searching for with no luck and suddenly there it is at Ben Franklin. Prices are very reasonable and it’s locally owned. It’s a great store in a great college town.The people who work in the store are lovely and helpful. I drive 45 minutes to come here for my products. Wonderful place.

The pets they have here are being ABUSED. Some animals not even having water and absolutely in no way in good living conditions. Absolutely horrible.

So happy to have this store as a resource in our community! And they've been wonderful about helping people access goods during the pandemic. I really appreciate the patience and friendliness of the employees who have been willing to assemble my items for curbside pick up. And it's fun when they offer opinions about various brand options as well (to the employee who just recommended the lavender-coconut scented hand soap: omg it is the best smelling soap ever, thanks!!).
