“On a road trip. Battery light came on. Everyone thought it would be the alternator, but that checked out. Turns out it was the battery. We were back on the road in less than half an hour!”

“We’re a hooklift upfitter based in Michigan, and recently we sent a driver out to deliver a Kenworth T880 to North Carolina. During a fuel stop, the truck started throwing battery codes. We reached out to a few local Diesel repair companies, but unfortunately, they either didn't have mobile repair or weren't even willing to give us the time of day.

Then we called Hughes, and from the very first conversation, we were met with friendly, helpful service. Instead of immediately dispatching a technician, they took the time to walk our driver through a few potential fixes over the phone, trying to save us some money in case it was a simple issue. That level of honesty and customer care is rare!

Unfortunately, it turned out the batteries were shot and needed to be replaced. Hughes promptly sent someone out to jump-start the truck so it could be driven to their shop. Once there, they unhooked the bad batteries and even drove our driver to the nearby Kenworth dealership to pick up replacements. After returning, they installed the new batteries and ran a few tests to ensure everything was functioning properly.

This was hands down one of the best service experiences we’ve had. The team was communicative throughout the entire process, and it’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. While I hope we never have a driver break down on a delivery again, If it does happen I hope we are close to Zanesville OH so we can give Hughes a call again.”

“Traveling thru the area in late November 23' picked up a flat tire in the service van. Stopped at Loves to ask of a shop in the area that may be able to help, attendant mentioned a few places in the area and Bob S was closest, but she said if you can get in. I called and when transferred to the shop was told to bring her in. Now, understand this place specializes in the big rig tires, not a mini van tire. I pulled into the parking lot and a young man said he could pull it in and take a look, not 20 minutes later he came out and said you are all set. This outstanding young man gave the best example of good service. Bob Sumeral Tire in Zanesville is doing a great job of attracting good workers, way to go!”
