Most expensive place to shop unless there is a meat sale and, even then they are always out of the meat as soon as the ad comes out.

My family has shopped this store for 50 + years. Customer service is always friendly. Great selection of local food and in house made foods. Garlic butter is amazing. Thank you to all the employees

Like large chain stores, this small local well known little grocery store give fuel rewards when you shop there using their reward card. Fuel is competitively priced and rewards make it better. Small, less buisy and easy to access. Always good customer service here.

Remember Meeks pastries? If you've lived in Norwalk or the area long enough, you would surely remember. While I cannot say with certainty that the recipes were shuffled across town after Meeks closed, I can say the donuts taste as yummy as they ever did at the long closed cross town pastry shop. Or judge for yourself by the fact that if you don't get to schilds before 10am on most Saturday's, you'll be out of luck getting g your favorite scrumptious sweet treat from the bakery. (Mine is the 'maple cream stick' as they are called locally) Aside from the bakery, IGA has a wide selection of fresh and frozen groceries. They even offer a weekly senior grocery delivery service for a nominal fee. If you like a good glazed donut or a creme filled long john, you might want to skidaddle over to schilds iga to quench that hunger.
