I tried working with several chimney companies before finding Chimney Cricket. Not every chimney co. does stucco repair, so it was slim pickings. What a relief it was when they came. They were quick to quote and estimate, with a small delay between actual service; however, I attribute that to the weather and demand. It was in the middle of the winter. Once out, they performed the job handsomely, quickly, and fixed the botched work of another provider. A two man crew working in the freezing cold had most of the work done in one day, with a second day for touch up. We are very satisfied, and feel comfortable using them again, and recommending them to other homes in need.

Chimney Cricket went above and beyond to make sure the job was completed before the cold weather set in. They were accommodating to our schedules and fantastic around our very large dog. We could not have asked for a better company!

They supposedly came out for an inspection when I was at work. Two days go by - no quote or call. I called and they said they tried to e-mail me the quote but it came back as undeliverable. Checked the e-mail address and they had two numbers transposed - no big deal, it happens. I corrected them a few days ago, still no quote. When I call, I just get voice mail. I'm certainly not going to get my work done here.

I worked for Chimney Cricket as a mason, they are absolutely the most dishonest, disorganized people I have ever worked for. They owe me $1,200 which I will never see. Everything they told me was a lie.

We paid Chimnee Cricket a $1,000 deposit on having a chimney liner installed, based on their inspection of our chimney. When they showed up to install the liner, they couldn't actually install it due to an issue with the chimney that they should have caught at the time of inspection. They wanted another $2,500 on top of the previously agreed-on fee so that they could knock a hole in our chimney in order to attach the liner. We refused.Now, they won't refund our deposit. They say that they had to order special materials for us. (What, a chimney liner? That's special? For a chimney repair place? I don't think so.) We're going to have to take them to court to get our $1,000 deposit back!Stay away from this company... FAR away!

I echo the BEWARE! After the initial missed installation date Nov 11, 2014, due to them not getting parts delivered, I have called almost every day for 10 days trying to get status on parts and only had 1 return call in which we set a date, Nov 18 2014, for their either having the parts or cancellation of the project. (Note: I only called this many times, because they failed to make the update calls they promised.)After passing the firm date of Nov 18, where they were to call with either an installation date or a cancellation, they still have not called; it is Nov 21, 2014, and I believe they are now ducking my phone calls. I hope I don't have to go to court for a refund of the advance monies I already paid them. I would give 0 stars if this rating system would allow this. I made the mistake of using another referral service to connect me with this bad experience; I should have checked these reviews before I contacted this company.
