I was only at North Royalton Animal Hospital one time. Our beloved little chihuahua of 14 years was not doing well. We had taken her to our normal vet on Wednesday and was told by our vet that she was not doing well and she could " drop dead " at any minute. Needless to say I was not going to have this person take care of our furbaby. On Thursday, it was obvious that our baby was not improving with the medication and we took her to North Royalton Animal Hospital. The staff there was amazing and genuine. Dr. Travis and Destiny were wonderful. They treated us with so much understanding and support. Totally opposite of the other experience. We did have to put our precious girl to sleep which was devastating, but Dr. Travis and Destiny remained there to support us and give us all the time we needed. A few days later this wonderful gift came to my door. Our baby's paw prints, some of her fur for a keepsake, the flowers and a beautiful handwritten note from Dr. Travis. Just meant the world to us. Thank you again, Dr. Travis and Destiny for taking such wonderful care of our baby. I would also like to thank Judy at the desk for her kindness on the phone. She was very empathetic and understanding when I needed it. Thanks again.. We did receive our baby's ashes in a beautiful wooden box with her name engraved on it. Brought tears to our eyes.

The staff at North Royalton Animal Hospital Paws at Play are phenomenal! My sweet-tempered, giant Newfypoo loves to spend time at the Daycare when I have projects that require long days. We have felt secure boarding her while on vacation knowing she is getting to play with other dogs, receiving love and TLC from the staff, and has the hospital next door just in case. The Hospital has been vital in keeping her healthy, determining treatments when she isn't, and also providing a pricing scale that gives me pricing options from high to low that offer a range of tests and treatment options to choose from . As a pet owner I know when my dog races towards their doors with excitement that she's in great hands!

Doctor hecho and his staff were voted top animal hospital in 2015 in North America and Canada. They are really good vet. I've been going there for the past several years. Maybe longer you save my cat's life. When other vets rode him off. He's a very good vet.

Dr. Hechko and his team did a great job with our girl Cali. She has a chronic disease (IMHA) so needs extra consideration when discussing routine treatments (such as vaccines) and procedures. Dr Hechko was very knowledgeable, understanding and patient. Answered all my questions (and I had many!). I would recommend this vet clinic!

We love NRAH. They are thorough and caring. Dr. Hechko gave our sweet Luigi a peaceful and caring goodbye and I am so thankful I got to hold him in my arms as he went over the rainbow bridge. Exceptional care.

I have been going to this vet for a few years, but my husband and I have finally had enough and have switched. The vets have always been nice and they know what they are doing. But how the office is run and their policies have just become too much for us to deal with. We have two dogs: Izzy and Brownie. Brownie needs two medications for anxiety, and will need them for the rest of his life. The vets know this, however, every month when my husband tries to get prescriptions filled, the vet's office denies them. He has to call each time and fight with them to approve the meds. He takes Brownie in all the time and he is up to date on all his workups, so it's just a matter of approving the meds. He puts in requests for this, and it takes close to a week for them to respond. However, if they need payment for something, they call, text, email, every single day. So when we need something from them, they take their good old time, but when they need something they nag constantly. It was really bad one time when they forget to include a $3 disposal fee in the bill. We paid the bill when it was due and that was that. They called us the next day saying they forgot to include the disposal fee and we needed to pay it. It was 3 dollars. Every time we go in there we never leave without spending over $200. There is always something extra they charge for, and they had the audacity to call us over 3 dollars? And it was their fault they didn't include it in the bill! My husband refused to pay it on principal, insisting that since it was their mistake they should just eat that cost, and eventually they dropped it. But to even call about it, multiple times, for something as low as 3 dollars... it was outrageous. They just nickel and dime you for every little thing. Then Izzy, our other dog, has chronic dry eye. She's had it for nearly 2 years and I've been giving her the same ointment all this time. Nothing has changed in her prognosis, and I know she needs this ointment every day. I tried to get this prescription refilled, and suddenly they are saying she has to be tested every 6 months. It's ridiculous. It's chronic. They have told me over and over she will need this medication for the rest of her life. But they refused to approve the meds. The vet wouldn't even take the time to talk to me on the phone about it. The tech I spoke to on the phone was degrading and spoke in a belittling manner. She insisted that Izzy would not get her medication unless she was brought in, which again, just walking in the building costs like $90, and then with exams and everything they add on, I always end up spending over $200. I don't need to spend that much to know my dog needs this medication. She's been taking it for two years. I bring her in every year for her yearly exam and get all her work done. I said that if her eye was worse, I would definitely bring her in for it, but it's been the same for 2 years. The tech was sarcastic and said "Oh, then you can do the Schirmer Tear Test at home?" I told them if they really cared about the health of my dog, they would approve the ointment since they admit that Izzy will need it for the rest of her life. It's not like this is a pill that could affect other organs or anything. It's eye ointment. There is no way her eyes are suddenly cured, but even if they were, giving her ointment wouldn't suddenly make them worse. In response, the tech implied that I didn't really care about my dog since I couldn't bring her in. And she laughed at me when I said I wanted to talk to someone else who could approve this. That conversation was the final straw on the camel's back. We found a new vet and made appointments to establish care there. Enough of this overpriced, badly managed office.

We have been going to North Royalton Animal Hospital for many years. We are so grateful to Dr Hechko and the rest of his staff for the exceptional service they have provided to our pets.. We would not consider going anywhere else!

Went once and will never return. $1,000 for an exam, blood work, and a couple medications and to be told you can spend additional money for additional tests because this $1,000 gave us nothing. No follow up, no call to tell me results. Followed up with regular vet yesterday and they actually pulled the results for me and gave me actual honest answers and didn't overcharge me during a time when I'm realistically going to have to put my girl down.

Very disappointed with the lack of sympathy when after 6 months of treatment our cat died. Promises were not made but when I had to call to cancel an appointment because Luther had died, all we got from this facility was “thoughts and prayers” from the person answering the phone. This is the first vet that I have dealt with that did not call personally or send a card to express their sympathy. Obviously previous experiences with this vet were positive, but after such lack of concern or caring from them I will seek another vet. Additionally, the treatments can be quite expensive not necessarily a concern when your fur baby is sick but something to consider. Can no longer recommend them.

We have been taking out dogs here for a few years now. We first arrived for their services with our beloved dog chance who unfortunately passed on. They helped us with his back injury the best they could. We used them when it came time to unfortunately do what every pet owner hates doing. That initial experience with our first dog has lead us to a great relationship and they are really the only ones we trust with our two ned puppers. They may be slightly more pricey than their competition, but I promise you that it is worth it. Their facility is newer than most, I think it's under a decade old. And their doctors and nurses are top notch who really care about you pet. They may try to upsell a lot of products and services, but what company doesn't lol. They are selling you stuff to give your pet nothing but the top of the line care. You can simply say no.We got a puppy roughly 4 months ago and they have given him all his shots and vaccines as well as his recent neuter.I am/we are extremely happy with the care our dogs receive at N Royalton animal hospital and they have a life long client as long as we have pets in need of care. I can't say enough good things about the place.Remember when you read reviews about hospitals, pet care clinics, really anywhere that involves taking a loved one for care keep in mind a lot of emotion can go into those reviews. Again, I promise you this place actually cares about you and they understand some people love their pets more than others. They will take the time to treat you that way.

I took my dog to this vet for a rabies booster and was told he had a minor liver infection, there were several people in the exam room and the vet was talking to several people, so when I asked a question the vet gave me grief, all because I wasn’t sure who she had been talking to, unprofessional and very rude! After 4 visits and no booster, 4 months and my dog has passed! I would never frequent or recommend this $ grubbing veterinarian to anyone!

North Royalton Animal Hospital is filled with the most compassionate, caring, and competent staff. We had two cats with many many medical needs from a young age. We always felt they were in excellent hands and getting the absolute best care until the absolute final moments. When we're ready for new fur babies we know just who to trust them with. I cannot thank them or recommend them enough. We moved and stayed with them. They are worth the drive no matter the distance.
