I opened a new account when my house sold, and deposited the check. The check bounced and Fifth Third changed me $60. I closed the account and opened an account at another bank and have not had any trouble since. (I deposited the same check with that bank).

If English is your only language I would suggest another bank. I can not express with words just how terrible this institution is. They absolutely (((REFUSE))) to help you with anything in the branch. ((EVEN FRAUD)) Only thing they do is point you to their non english speaking foreigners while they look at you with a straight face. Then, they reply to these reviews by directing you to those same non english speaking foreigners. They can care less about you and your business as long as they save some pennies on the foreigner customer support.

We pay to use their ATM because it is near our house. I'm a Simple bank customer and forgot to unblock my card through the Simple bank app. Fifth Third Bank's ATM retained "Card Napped" the card! Fine, I waited til today and called Simple and then Fifth Third. The branch manager "On Duty" refused to return my card. She stated their policy is only to return Fifth Third Bank customer cards. I asked why they have no problem charging me fees to use their machine would they deny me my card back. I along with Simple could prove who I was and it was my card. Sorry, That's our policy!
