The woman who owns the store stared us down and treated us like we were criminals the WHOLE time…. plastic is up on every single shelf….very uptight and judgmental atmosphere. Not going back and wouldn’t mind seeing this store removed from the rest of the mall.

Captain McFinn has some really unique gifts and collectibles, and I will sometimes stop in here when I'm at the Eastwood Mall.

I love the store itself but there is an older lady that was following me very evidently making me very uncomfortable the whole time I was shopping. She appeared to be quite offended when I asked her about an accessory to an item she carried in her store that she insisted didn't exist (which does). She was astonishingly rude and continued to be the whole time I was in the store and at checkout. Unfortunately I had to purchase a last min. hard to find item or I would have never become a consumer to such a vial woman. Sadly I believe she is the management. Professionalism lacking period.

Products are super cool. Expensive! Which would be acceptable if it wasn’t for the fact that when you attempt to enjoy looking at toys with your children the sales rep literally stands RIGHT BEHIND YOU the whole time (not the first time). My son was playing with a $20 puppet and she felt the need to reprimand him and state generally they just let the adults use them. It’s a children’s store...with kid toys! I could understand if he was throwing it around but he was just moving it’s arms around.

I have always like Captain Mcfinn. Yes it is a pricey store but they have always had beautiful stuffed animals and i love giving them as gifts. I also adore their beautiful clothes they now carry. If they had sold these when they first opened I would have needed 3 jobs! They are just so beautiful. I recently took my great niece shopping for her birthday outfit there and bought her a beautiful stuffed owl. We could not be more pleased and I am glad after all these years they are still around. It's been a long time but when my now 16 year old was 8 we had one of the best birthday parties we ever had in their then brand new party room. It was the best ever!

Captain McFinn has some really unique gifts and collectibles, and I will sometimes stop in here when I'm at the Eastwood Mall. Despite being a little small, this store is organized and clean. It is easy to shop. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. I have seen some pretty cool items in here and various things that would make great gifts. They have beautiful rocks and gemstones, which really interests me. There are also other collectible items. Captain McFinn also has a huge stuffed animal selection, and there's no doubt you can find anyone's favorite animal if you're looking for a gift. I would like to note that the prices are a bit high, but everything seems to be pretty good quality. If you're at the Eastwood Mall, Captain McFinn is worth checking out. It may appear as a children's store when you see the cartoon theme in the window, but it actually has really cool finds for anyone.
