Very clean Kroger with everything stocked and fresh. I hope it stays that way. I was very surprised because krogers in the surrounding areas are terrible, not because of the company, but because of the kind of people working there.

I honestly thought this Marketplace Kroger would be better than my small town one. Half an hour drive later, wishing I hadn't bothered. Nothing worth going the extra 20 miles. Rude staff members!!

Kroger is a great place to shop for groceries, health, first-aid supplies, & other items. *Marketplace stores has clothes, where original Kroger stores don't!

This review is for David who ran self check out may,29,2024 around 9pm . David, I hope you know how happy you made me and my husband. Dear kroger mangers, David had pervaded grate costermer service and because of David we will be shopping here instead of Wallmart. David was very helpful and was very friendly and when we needed assistance he rushed over to our aid almost dropping his cane. This nice employee David should definitely get a big appreciation. ( not saying he doesn't I'm shure mangers see he's a good worker ) if all the other workers are as helpfull and sweet as David then I definitely can't wait to come back ! David if your seeing this, thank you. You matter David. You are a good human being. Your service is valued. Thank you David and mangers at Kroger newark 21st

We have given up on their pickup order process. Placed my order before 8:00 this morning for pickup between 2 and 3. and just got notified that it won’t be ready until 8.00 tonight. This is one of the multiple times this has happened over the last few months, thought maybe things had gotten better but doesn’t appear so. Will go back to using WalMart it looks like, this hasn’t happened one time there

I went to make a return, and it took them a very long time to get to me even though the line was not that long. Then, after I got to start the return, the employee was not very nice to at all. I am not embarrassed.

On Sunday, March 17, 2024, I bought 3 boxes of pop tarts. The cashier rung up 4 boxes, so I showed her the receipt, and she apologized and then directed me to the customer service employee (CSE) who was helping another cashier at the time. After the CSE was done, I explained the error, and she told me she can't return my money because "the customer service desk is closed. There is no money in the register." I asked her if she could use another register, and she said she couldn't. I asked if the manager could return my money, and she told me "she won't do it either." Then she asked me if I could come back tomorrow. I said no because I live 35-40 minutes away. She insisted she couldn't do anything about it because the customer service register was closed. Really? So Kroger doesn't have any customer service on any given day? Every time something is scanned incorrectly, and people were charged too much, they just say "Sorry, we can't give you the money back because the register is closed?" I wonder if Kroger corporate would agree with that? I ended up suggesting that I will just go get another box of pop tarts. What is wrong with people these days?

The Newark Kroger has a large selection of just about anything you are looking for , and as this is a marketplace, they have more than just the usual grocery store fare. Additionally, there is a state liquor agency and Starbucks on-site. Like I said, just about everything you would want is here. The staff is helpful not just point you in a direction and send you on your way, at least not in my experience. The cheese monger is also knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Overall a great place to shop.

Garbage store. My orders are always delayed or they take 20 minutes to bring it out. Most recently my order was delayed 3 hours due to "staff issues". Many people get groceries on Sundays. This is poor management and no work ethic

It’s really clean in their good selection of food. be careful in the parking lot because it’s normally busy and lots of carts lying around.

Worst of the worst. IF (huge if) you are lucky enough to get a cart (always 0 carts), it WILL have at least one wheel with flat spots. The layout of the store was apparently done by the local kindergarten class. Restock of popular items is shameful. I will drive the extra distance to Heath Kroger 9.5 times out of 10 and am irritated 9.5 times out of 10 when I didn’t. If only Meijer wouldn’t have left!!!
