The place is great, but I have been thinking twice about going to Dollar General vs other stores due to the self checkout being closed. I used to go more frequently, but now I might as well go to Kroger or the gas station.

This store always has limited hours (10a-5p). It also has empty shelves, and the freezers are never stocked. Go to the Market Basket down the street or trek over to Kroger on 21st. It's a shame because this could be a popular place for the Central City communityEDIT: This places has gotten a lot better. The two ladies who work here always greet you with a smile and the shelves seem to be stocked frequentky now.

The store might be small, but in my opinion this Dollar General has the best selection of goods out of all the dollar stores. I'm always able to find just what I need. The staff alis very polite and helpful, as well.

Dollar General used to be cheap somewhat in the past but seems like they are a bit expensive for a lot of things too I've noticed these days.

Tried to tell me I couldn’t buy a lighter because you have to be 21. I’m a delivery driver and was shopping for a customer. The employees were very very rude, they told my business to the other customers “quietly”, and were too lazy to check the actual minimum age. Worst dollar general experience I’ve ever had (and that’s hard to beat). ?

Went to go get some groceries and they were closed. This was around a little before 9pm and she was in her car and just drove off even though there were people in the parking lot. This isn’t the first time either.

Doesn't follow posted hours. Arrived a full 40 minutes early. Doors locked place closed. Why post hours if you won't follow? Absolutely ridiculous.

Please pay your employees more! For goodness sake Dollar General. For starters, it would be wonderful to be able to shop here. But 9/10, the store isn't open when I go so I just stopped going. Last time I called to see if the store was open before wasting my time, the woman who answered the phone said 'Dollar General we close at 6' ...Seriously?The employees here are not happy at ALL. This area could really use a grocery store, and to have employees run a store, you need to pay them a living wage. It is no wonder you don't have people to run your store and stock your shelves. You're charging regular grocery store prices. Perhaps your employees could be treated a bit better and maybe they'll want to stick around? Just a thought.

Most inconsistent store hours possible. You never know if they are open or closed until you pull up and read a small post-it note on the front door stating the days current hours.This would be such a great location to pick items up but it seams more often than not i am met with a closed sign.
