Saw your business on a YouTube channel, KULT News. Love the way you reacted to a man with a Camera. I will visit your establishment on my next trip out east.

The owner is a wealth of information. Not only is it the oldest building in Newark, but it is also the place where Ralph Lauren got his start, selling his ties out of a trunk out front. The first Levi's retailer in Ohio! I grabbed a really cool button up. Go and learn and shop to keep this awesome small business alive!

As close as you will find as an authorized Woolrich store, but it's not. However it may be considered or was an authorized Boy Scout dealer at one time and still has items for purchase. Other items in a case are vintage Scouts items not for sale. Cornell's is a time capsule that must be experienced. When in Newark just before Thanksgiving my hotel recommended when I forgot my coat back home. It was a short walk from the Doubletree. The store is on the main drag. Upon entering your immediately taken back to another time period of the old general stores. The amount of inventory on the walls, on the tables, well literally every where you look. There is new, there is vintage new such as concert T shirts from the 60's & 70's. What is not there is an odor, the place has no old stinky smell that you may imagine. Plus some items that the owner would never sell on display such as Levi's jeans that date back to the company's start and probably worth tens of thousands. Mr. Cornell, the owner in his 70's has stories he will share if you have time about the family history and four generations of operation. The location was originally a stage coach stop, but Cornell's has their own history too! Like Fats Domino playing pool with the owners Father in the 1950's. They also have an antique juke box dating to the early 40's. The passion that Mr. Cornell brings to the business is what really stands out in my mind. He offers quality merchandise and is proud of the history dating back almost a hundred years. You cannot find another store in the country that compares. It would be impossible! In my opinion he should set up an online store. The items are just so unique and there would be demand nationwide. I walked out with a classic Woolrich red and black checkerd jacket that set me back $250 or so. Don't miss this store if your even within hours.

I always find the best men’s gifts - and something for myself- at Cornell’s. For more than 30 year’s I’ve had great choices from quality dress shirts to sweaters, belts and hats. This store is a gem in downtown Newark.

My brother and I stopped into Cornell’s this week while on a spontaneous walkabout in downtown Newark, after having spied the men’s hats in the window. They have an impressive array of clothing and accessories (Woolrich, Stetson among other brands) for anywhere, but especially so given our location and times. Better still, though was having acquainted ourselves with the owner, Robin, who presents a delightful and wide-ranging interview. We really hated to have to leave, and will certainly make time to return.

THE place for any Woolrich clothing for men or women!!! Outdoor wear, flannel, winter jackets, furred clothing snow gear. And the best place for Scouts stuff from antique to current merit badge stuff or books and even equipment. Sweet nice guy can educate you on the antique stuff too, very informative!

Awesome place! Everywhere you look there’s something new to see. Authentic vintage, wool sweaters, and bunch of cool old Boy Scout stuff. The owner was great too. We sat and talked for a little while. Will definitely be back.

This is one of the most amazing clothing stores that I have ever been in. It's casual, men and women's Woolrich clothing, that is unique and packed into such a tiny space that it's unbelievable what you will find! There are so many Boy Scout patches, accessories, and clothing that you'll lose your mind. It's like a museum. Plus there have LP's! Remember those? THOUSANDS OF THEM! The owner, Robin P, was the drummer with the Triumphs (they all had Triumph motorcycles) and he's got connections in the business that you will never get tired of hearing about! Oh my God! Plus they have a wide variety of "Nerk Ahia" (Translation: Newark Ohio) t-shirts and hats. Definitely worth a stop.
