I can't get over how many comments are in regards to the clerks in the office. I was once a proud clerk here and we had one of the best staff. I pray things get better. (Served 2007-2014)

Upon arrival, I was met with an unfortunate incident involving one the lady at the customer service representatives. Not intended to focus on the employee's ethnicity or nationality, but rather their behavior towards myself, my wife, and my 10-year-old son. The particular employee I encountered at the front customer service location appeared to be of Mexican descent, and her demeanor was disrespectful towards us. (Her name tag was not visible so I described her)
As a concerned parent, it deeply saddened me when my son, who was present with us, remarked upon leaving the premises, "Dad, why was that lady so rude?" I had chosen the New Albany location for our appointment, believing that the post office in America's Best Suburb would provide a more pleasant and professional experience. However, this encounter left us disheartened and questioning the service we received as about the whole community.
I can only hope this person will one day be investigated for her behavior and her manager take appropriate action to address the behavior of their employee. It is essential for any service-oriented organization to prioritize respectful and considerate interactions with customers. I believe that by acknowledging and rectifying such incidents, the organization can maintain its reputation as a trusted and customer-focused entity.

You would think that postal workers who process passport renewal applications everyday would know how to do it. Very rude workers and not helpful at all unfortunately…

Since when do I need to write an address on a package that I have a QR code for? That's what the ethnic female attendant just wanted me to do when I walked into this post office so I walked out. I will never do business with this post office again which is irritating considering 2 of their attendants are very nice women and the others are always angry and short.

If I could go anywhere else I would. This is the most rude post office I have EVER been to. I came in to help with a passport and had questions, the rude assistant came out watching a tv show on her phone with a headphone in and was sooo BEYOND rude. I left crying because I came in for help and it was negative help and I work all day every day so I wasted my time coming here. Please go anywhere else. I am so nice and walked in so nice. This is sad.

Came here for walk in hours and there was only myself and 1 other person in line for passports. When I got to the counter, I was told that to redo the application in black ink instead of blue then come back to the counter. When I got back in line, there was a large family who were getting their passports and it took quite sometime for the staff member to finish their passport applications. By the time I got back to the counter, I was told that passport hours were over and that I should’ve come earlier! I explained that I had been there for over an hour and they still turned me away. They told me I should’ve spoken to someone and I told them the worker told me to come back to her. Then they said she was in the back and they had other people to get to. They offered no other solution but to return a different day. I was there for an hour and a half just to be turned away. Terrible treatment.

I come here multiple times a week and usually have good service although I use the self service kiosk mostly and only go to the main counter when it’s already in use, however, I witnessed a completely unnecessary and unprofessional encounter with a worker and another customer.I went in today and stood in line behind a guy and when the lady at the counter called him up, he said he had a bulk mail drop off (where they give you a giant bin and you offload your parcels yourself) and was asking where to pull around for it to be unloaded. The worker looked at him and said “I have other customers to help, I can’t help you carry in all of your packages.” Mind you, I was the only other person in line besides a lady that had already been helped and was just filling out a label. Nonetheless, that’s not what he was asking at all. When he tried to explain to her, she interrupted him and told him to just bring them inside and set them on the counter. When he said it was over 100 packages and he couldn’t carry them all in, she actually laughed at him and said again “we don’t have time to carry them in for you.” He wasn’t asking for special treatment or anything, he was literally utilizing a service that the post office offers (typically for small businesses) and she just didn’t know what he was talking about and instead of trying to learn, she was incredibly rude to him. Unsurprisingly, I notice other bad reviews that mention someone describing her. The way she spoke to him, another human being, was awful, never mind the fact she was at her workplace speaking to a customer that way. The “manager” ended up coming out and didn’t seem anymore qualified to handle the request either so I’m not surprised she didn’t know. It was a bizarre exchange. So beware if you are a small business with lots of packages going out or just a customer expecting an employee to know what services their workplace offers

I moved from Dublin/Worthington to New Albany the middle of November 2023. It is the middle of January 2024. I have made a half dozen trips to the post office trying to get my change of address through. The first around the first week of November and the latest the first week of January. On my last visit, I was told that I had to bring the USPS verification forms to the post office with my ID. I explained that I had been trying for two months to get my mail forwarded and asked to speak to the postmaster. They said she wasn't in. On January 23rd, when I finally received the notices from my first application in November, I happily went to the post office with the forms and my ID. I patiently waited in line. When I was called to the window I explained that I needed to verify my change of address so it would go into effect. The woman at the counter looked at me and said, "Have you read them? No verification is needed. You need to read them." I stepped aside and took time to read the notices in their entirety. There was a notice at the top, "verification required". So, I went back up to the counter. The woman at the counter was very annoyed. I told her I had read them and showed her where it was marked "verification required". She looked at it for a minute, then said, "Oh, that just means if you disagree it must be verified. Everything is fine." I don't believe her. I am sure I will have to make another trip and they will say, "Why didn't you have these verified." What ever happened to good customer service? I am certainly not impressed with the privatization of the USPS. It should be put back under federal control. Maybe then out tax dollars would provide some benefit rather than paying more and more to the USPS with worse and worse customer service.

USPS’s service is awful and because they’re a government entity they’re shielded from any possible litigation. If UPS or FedEx tried to pull the antics that USPS pulls they’d be surrounded in a class action law suits and so absolutely bankrupt that it would make Enron jealous. They’re bad because they can be, with absolutely no repercussions.Worst of all, there’s no way to fix this. USPS is responsible for investigating themselves, so they obviously wont admit their own faults when doing a personal investigation into their own malpractices. What a garbage organization.

Great customer service. Lost a package and submitted a form on the USPS website. The location found it after a couple of days and updated me through the entire process contacting me daily, which I wasn’t expecting!

Walked in at 10:02a.m. and there was a family having pictures taking for a passport. The lady with dyed red hair and country accent proceeds to ask what we need in a derogatory and rude tone of voice. I answered, "we are here for 1 passport process," and she said, "I've already taken 3 and can't take anymore."She lacks customer service skills and, so far, one of the rudest and can tell no education person I've ever dealt with at a USPS location. She may work at the New Albany location, where we also reside at but with her rude attitude, she should be working as a custodian in a federal prison and not dealing with customers who need an honest process done.
