I have been bringing my dog to Animals R Special for nearly 5 years. They are exceptional! Dr Wagner and her staff always treat us like family- which is especially helpful with a dog who gets nervous at the vet. When my dog broke her foot, Dr Wagner was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate, helping to explain the technicalities of her injury. For follow up appointments, her staff made sure to find times that would be convenient for my schedule because we live about 30 minutes away. However, I will continue to make that drive for the quality of care I know I’ll get here! I always recommend Animals R Special.

Dr. Amy is amazing. She removed two cysts from our dog's ears, without the expense of putting our dog to sleep! Wow...a cost-conscious vet. Our dog didn't feel any pain. Had to wear the cone for a few days, but he is recovering nicely. Thank you Dr.Amy.

The office manager (Jess) is the reason for leaving. I have had many negative interactions. When talking to her she wanted to talk over and cut me off many times. She then kept reminding me how long we had been on the phone- when all she needed to do was to be empathetic, apologetic, and acknowledge (customer service 101) what I was saying. It’s sad that she doesn’t care about losing clients.

We moved back to Ohio from Las Vegas and looking for a vet for our pups. After waiting 3 weeks for our appointment, we show up and they did not have us in the computer for the appointment. The middle aged lady with glasses at the desk when we arrived was kind and understanding and said they could work us in. Later, the Office Manager, Jess, came out. She said there was not an appointment for us and the dogs could not be seen. I said we had waited over three weeks. The best she could do was later in the week. There was no one else in the waiting area. My husband and I had driven over 30 minutes and both arranged our work schedules to accommodate the appointment we already had. Jess, was rude and spoke in a very condescending manner to me saying the computer doesn't make mistakes with appointments and my behavior would not be tolerated. I can say I did not raise my voice or say anything unkind. She has a terrible attitude and took the conversation to another level and should not be in customer service. I DO have a confirmation email from them with the appointment. We left and will be finding another vet.
My daughter, who is (now was) a client, had recommend us to go there saying they love Dr. Amy for their dogs. I called my daughter to tell her what had happened and we would not be using them for a vet so she called and spoke with Jess about our situation. She said Jess kept cutting her off when she spoke to her, said I screamed (which I did not), said there was a waiting room full of customers (which is a lie because one lady walked in as we were leaving with a white dog) and told my daughter I slammed the door when I left (which is another lie because my husband walked out after me). If Jess owns this business and wants to run it in this manner, that is her prerogative. If not, the owner of this business needs to have a conversation with Jess about how to speak to clients in a professional manner without a chip on her shoulder. This business just lost 5 dogs and 2 dog families.

I've been coming here for years and me and Titan always have a great experience. Although I wish they still did boarding, I still highly recommend as a knowledgeable vet with reasonable prices.

Being a new client, I just assumed I wouldn't be able to get in for a while. The receptionist was so friendly and welcoming! Plus, I was able to get in in less than a week. I was pleasantly surprised.

We somehow inherited a guinea pig. Our dogs vet didn't accept small rodents as patients so we called around and learned this near by veterinarian did! So off we went with Lola the piggy. They were great. Got us in quickly. The front room is small but super comfy. The vet came out and introduced herself. Helped teach us about guinea care. She trimmed the piggy's dragon talons. Taught us how to hold her and do it ourselves. Offered to do it again if we still weren't comfortable. Really like this veterinarian practice.
