I walked in looking for a gallon of premixed wallpaper paste. My wife works at an Ace Hardware North of Columbus so I knew where to find it. The clerk that rang up my sale was very chatty and efficient.

I went into Ace this evening feeling pretty defeated after being sold a set of barstools with no hardware to put them together. I thought I would walk in and grab a few screws and be on my way. Bill completely blew those expectations out of the water when he offered for me to go and get the barstool and bring it back in so he could help me find the right pieces to put it together. After an hour project and more coworkers helping, Bill put my barstool together and completely turned my night around. To top it all off, rather than sending me home with the materials to do it myself he insisted that I come back tomorrow so he could build my second barstool for me.
After calling my family to tell them about this wonderful experience, my sister chimed in and said “Bill is the nice man who gave me boxes when I was moving!”
Needless to say, it seems like I am not the only one who has amazing things to say about Bill! He deserves 10/5 stars!

I stopped by this Ace Hardware store today to see if I could find a large socket and longer bolt for my hitch. I have a 2” receiver hitch but my bicycle carrier is 1.25”. The adapter the hitch installer provided works OK, but I wanted to secure it a bit better with a longer bolt because it wiggled more than I liked when traveling with bicycles. When I drove up to the store, one of the Ace guys, Alex, asked if he could help. He was amazing! He helped me get the too-short bolt out and sold me a socket that will work great going forward. This store is a fantastic local resource, much preferable to typical “big-box” stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Menard’s, etc.

Tons of staff on hand to help out with whatever you need. I just picked up a uhaul truck from here but I didn't even have to think about where I needed to go before I was politely carried off to exactly where I needed to be.

I ordered a Genesis SX-335 grill but when it was delivered the WeberConnect module did not work. I called the store and one of the associates, Justin Bell, came to my house and spent significant time troubleshooting the problem. He determined that the module was defective and, instead of simply replacing the module, ordered a complete new grill. Justin then took personal responsibility to assemble the grill himself. After the new grill was delivered, he followed up by calling me to ensure that everything worked correctly. That is the kind of service you do not frequently see and should be highly commended. Thanks Justin.
