Love it when you walk in there and they know you're pet by their names.

First time visit, and the entire experience was great! Receptionists were quick to greet. The Tech and Dr were very thorough and asked plenty of questions to get the information about my pup. There's a wait for first time clients, but I know I've found a keeper!

Short version of this review - if you're going to use them as a well clinic fine, but if your pet is sick, go elsewhere.
Napoleon Vet Clinic has been my vet 31 years. This vet since maybe 1996 or so. On 08/13/24, at about 2 pm, our dog Henry was acting like there was something in his throat. Being a Staffordshire Terrior, he chewed on his toys quite a bit. He just kept coughing like he was trying to clear his throat. Then he started acting more off. When he's anxious, he will go into our bedroom and lay on the rug. We were trying to get him to take a drink, etc., then he came into my office and threw up just a little, but still, so I told my husband lets go. We arrived at about 4:30, they took him in a room. By this time, my anxious dog is acting so weird, I'm so confused. Henry didn't know how to be sick. He's the most human like dog, but also so strong. If something hurt or didn't work right, it confused him. He was majorly freaking out. The vet looked down his throat and never took his temp. She asked lots of questions about what he could have got into and never took his temp. She asked about heat stroke and never took his temp. She said it could be an infection and never took his temp. Henry had allergies. He was what's considered a blue dog, well known for skin allergies. She said she felt it's an allergy and his throat was swelling a little. I told her yes, he has allergies, but it's always been manifested through his skin. She is constantly saying how they don't do overnight stays anymore. She had to get to the fair. Her and the vet tech went in the back to, of course, get a shot for allergies. While back there, the vet tech says something to her about him possibly having had a seizure. She comes out and says this, all the while Henry is freaking out, and she never took his temp. Freaking out is common for him, but this was even an unusual level for him. The whole time, she's doing the exam, etc., she never talked to him, never tried to calm him down, and never called him his name. She just needed to get to the fair. Even though she mentioned a seizure, and we told her that he was lying in our bedroom for a bit, he may have we didn't know. She continued with the allergy shot. She told us to go home and watch him for 1-2 hours. If he didn't improve, take him to the emergency vet in Maumee. All that, and she never took his temperature. She had to get to the fair. I just hoped that getting him back home would calm him down. We left, both of us looking at each other confused, but we trusted her, for a long time, trusted her. We made it to just W of McClure, and Henry had a seizure. Not even 12 minutes after we left. I called Napoleon to see if she was still there. Maybe she could stabilize him so we could get him to Maumee. She was gone. My husband drove to Maumee and made it in under 25 minutes. When they stopped the seizure, his temperature was too high, and he died. If only she'd taken his temperature. It was over 109, and the thermometer only went to 109. We have over analyzed every moment, and it comes down to never trust anyone and their professional opinion. She treated him like she didn't care how he was feeling. If you look up symptoms of a fever in a dog, he had 6 of the 9 symptoms. One of them is a COUGH, and she never took his temperature. He was gone by 5:40. She had seen him less than an hour before. His fever was elevated by the seizure, yes, but he had to have had a fever when we were at Napoleon if only she'd checked. My 4th child, $12 shelter dog, the best dog I have ever owned, is gone all because she didn't take his temperature. Harm has been done. Again, do not go here if your dog is ill.

I've taken my pets there since Bergi owned it and it was on Scott st. Always have been nice and professional. Having said that they are getting quite expensive. I may need to find a different Vet because of it .

Super nice people and a joy to have as our vet. Recently went above and beyond as we had to say goodbye to one of our furbabies. On a Saturday night we were in a tough spot with him and with no 24 hour clinic around us they contacted us and had us meet us and and did some test and had to give us some bad news. Even though it was a Saturday night and I'm sure they had more things to do, they gave us time to say goodbye and be with him. I thank the staff and most of all the vet and tech that took the time to go the extra mile for us.

As a first time dog owner I was looking for the ultimate best for my poodle, I had heard great things about Napoleon Vet. Due to my own experience 3 different times. I will no longer be taking my dog back to their facility as doing so would be a danger for his safety. Took my dog for a stomach bug and I got him back with raw, bloody paws as he escaped their facility. Needed an anti-inflammatory shot and could not walk for 3 days after he returned home from their care. Rude, condescending, and not compassionate. Was told not to worry about my bill, than harassed for $400 after being prescribed special food and could not even get the vet to sign off on it. As well as not even confirming what was wrong with my dog in the first place. The vets just kept comparing him to their own dogs. Such a terrible and traumatic experience for myself as an owner and my dog. I WILL NOT being going back, nor do I recommend. NO STARS

Had an appointment. The clinic has a large waiting room with lots of pet products for sale. The staff were friendly. We didn't wait very long for the tech to talk to us, then Dr. Bates walked in to see our cat. The cat has a lot of mucus when she sneezes. Allergies? Respiratory? After the exam the vet told us our options, to begin with an antibiotic. If no improvements were noticed, then she suggested doing a "panel" to be sent to a lab to dig deeper into the problem, checking fluids in throat, nose, and eyes for diseases or other issues. Our visit was $130. We will receive a call in two weeks to see if the cat has any changes with the antibiotic. Then go from there. Pet clean up. Restrooms.
