I was shocked to see that Graves has less than 5 stars, and that's why I am writing a review. John and his guys have moved us three times, big moves. They have always been great. They were careful with my antique furniture. They've also done a small job moving a couch for us and are moving something else for us soon. Very reliable. Cheerful. Careful. Good people!

We highly recommend John Graves and his company. Our experience was very positive. We were in a bind when a major moving company unilaterally canceled our contract at the last moment. Our realtor recommended John and he and his crew loaded our belongings and delivered them to our new home in Florida on time and in great condition!

Great experience! The movers were punctual, courteous, and careful yet efficient. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, reasonable cost, and friendly demeanor. If we move again, we will not consider anyone else but them.

In early August, **** and his crew moved out household from Gambier, Ohio to Boston, Mass. After we agreed to use his services, **** came to our house to assess the volume of our belongings. We designated a date for our move, and **** and his crew arrived at the appointed time with a 26-foot U-Haul truck. They were able to fit everything into the truck except for our two bicycles. I had not told **** I planned to move the bikes, but had counted on there being room for them, since he had told us that we would not nearly fill the truck. But to accommodate us, he made a return trip to our house with a trailer, and packed the bikes in it. All packed and ready to leave for the East Coast, **** realized that there was a mechanical problem with the truck. He called U-Haul and arranged for a different truck, which required re-packing the entire load in a new truck. Nevertheless, he arrived at our condo in Boston at the scheduled time. **** and his crew were careful and thoughtful in their handling of our possessions, and **** was friendly and communicative throughout the moving process. It's obvious he cares about his clients and does all he can to ensure a safe and smooth moving process.\n-***** ******, *********, Mass.*

Showed up with a uhaul ... only moved what they could fit in that truck. They left half my house behind. And charged me $200/hr!

We are so happy to have called John! I left a message on a Friday afternoon and he called me back on Sunday afternoon. We set up the date and he arrived on time. Treated everything carefully. Great experience and very reasonable price!!

Please see update at bottom. Graves also agreed to help me move a small item. They disappeared and refused to answer or return my phone calls. They left me in a bind.

The fact that the word “reliable†is in their name is the biggest joke. John assured me he would be able to handle my project that was a week ago. We close on our house tomorrow and I cannot get him to respond to me through phone text or any other method. He has completely blown me off and left me hanging.

I have used this company 5 times in the past few years. Johns employees are very professional and polite. I would take the few bad comments I read with a grain of salt, 5 times and each experience has been equally the same if not better, so if they are that bad then I would like to know how they've been so consistent with us!?! I would highly recommend this company for your next move, they're very honest and reasonable.

Absolutely terrible company. They were supposed to arrive Wednesday, didn't show up till Friday, then blamed it on us. Loaded up what they felt like taking, and left everything else for us to deal with. When you pay a crew of people almost a thousand dollars to move your stuff, you expect them to move ALL of it. This is the worst moving company I've ever had to deal with, and I'll make sure to spread the word about how terrible you people are.
