Mt. Gilead KOA Holiday is a well-maintained and friendly campground located just north of Columbus, within walking distance of the state park and close to town amenities. It is noted as one of the nicest KOAs guests have experienced. The staff is consistently described as super friendly, helpful, and fun, hosting enjoyable events like pool parties. The facilities are very clean and modern, including some of the best campground restrooms and a nice pool with a shallow area for toddlers. The tent sites are absolutely huge with shelters, grills, fire pits, and comfortable chairs, adjacent to open green space. There is lots to do, featuring a fun playground, basketball court, jumping pillow, gaga ball pit, sand volleyball, a driving range, gem mining, and fishing ponds. The campground is very dog-friendly with multiple fenced pen sites and a community dog park. A minor note is that water pressure can be low and the showers could use better exhaust fans or shelves, but these are small considerations in an otherwise excellent camping experience.
Nice spacious level site! Clean bathrooms. Nothing bad to say about this place!!

Had a great Halloween weekend. Just wish they would judge kids costumes. I'm more creative for camping trick or treat than I am at home. Had fun decorating pumpkins and Amish pretzels and fries pies 😁

Just had our second stay at this campground. Lots of staff keeping the entire campground in great shape. Would/will stay here again.
